Beer bellies don't exist

I never thought that a beer belly is actually a permanent belly caused be drinking beer. In my book, a beer belly is what I get when I go to the pub and instead of my regular (vodka) I drink 5 or 6 pints and I get oh-so-bloated.
On the other hand, I also think that calories in spirits are a myth so don't take me too seriously.
