4th of July-Indepenence Day!

With all the cookouts I don't know what to do. Hotdogs, cheeseburgers, corn on the cob, blueberry pie oh my! It would great to eat just everything. But...? Indulge and gain because I know I'll overdue. Or zero calorie fast days? Any of you fellow Americans out there thought of this dilemma?
I will indulge and most probably over-indulge on Thursday. :usa:  I work 5:2 around my life and not let it rule my life. Yes, I want to lose weight, and I will and have but I planned for Thursday. Fasting today, eating light tomorrow, enjoying holiday and fasting Friday. I'll probably eat lighter this weekend as well. Enjoy! It's only once a year and even if you have a splurge once a month, it's not the end, it's called living. :)
No dilemma for me...fasted yesterday & tomorrow and will relax and enjoy the holiday with mindful eating & a little splurge if something sinful catches my eye!! That is what is so awesome about this Woe...no regrets or guilt!
What I have done successfully on such occasions is fasting two days as usual and then not eat anything on the pig out day until the afternoon, when the gorging usually begins and enjoy the food as usual after that. It has not caused me to gain.
Totally agree with Betsygr8 - the great thing about this woe is that you can work it round your life. I have been away in Amsterdam, eating and drinking lots, and I may have put on - I am not worrying about it, because I can tackle it again with 5:2.
