General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

Morning peeps!

Fatigue has finally hit me this week (I was expecting it earlier but I guess I have more stamina) together with the time of the month and I'm not feeling very well.

I was planning to do 5:2 this week AND one day of Dukan attack (fast on Wednesday and Friday, attack on Tuesday) but I didn't manage the attack yesterday (business lunch, couldn't avoid it) and I woke up feeling very hungry and kind of iffy today.

Since I weigh in daily I know that after a day of the attack I can lose up to half a kilo and since the attack has unlimited food I know I will probably have more luck with doing it today than start a fast and then realise that I can't go on with it.

What I'm thinking is: won't it be better to swap one fast with one day of attack instead of starting a fast and possibly failing it?
You probably know what will work best for you, I just want to say that the two times I started a fast day and I wasn't sure I'd be able to see it through I didn't, so if you're like me it sounds like a fast day is not going to work!
I see what you mean and I agree. So far I failed two fasts and they both started with the best intentions so starting one with doubts is probably a guarantee for failure.
I'll go with the attack. It's certainly better than nothing and it usually ends up around 800 calories anyway. :-)
