Portion Control
06 Feb 2013, 08:53
I have decided today to measure my normal breakfast portions to see how much I am overeating by on my '5' days, having seen how relatively easy it is to survive on my '2' days.

Ok my breakfast consists of meusli, banana, semi skimmed milk and low fat greek yoghurt.

Wow, don't I load up the meusli!! reduced it to 40g which was 159 calories, I would probably normally, easily, eaten double that!!! Then I measured from a big pot of yoghurt, again I normally would have added a whole small pot at about 80 calories, but just added 53g reducing to 31 calories.

Banana was ok and I didn't measure my milk (don't want to overdo things). But my reduced breakfast came to 282 calories and this could have easily been 490 calories.

And I was full...... Yay good news.

Roll on lunch, see what I can save there.... ;)

We get full quite quickly now. I'm still learning not to be greedy with my portions...it only ends up with tum ache! Also I do have to count my calories every day because on normal feeding days I go over my 2000cal easily with 300calories. And my tum thanks me for that :)
