Whoa..... what just happened???

So you know how people talk about this energy boost and feeling great..... I’ve never had it before. I’ve done the Cambridge Diet (very low calorie meal replacement diet) and Atkins and other low carb diets. And people talk about this energy boost and feeling great after a little while but I never got it.

Well on my last fast day I had a headache and felt ropey and about 4pm took some head ache pills and a big glass of water. Within half an hour I felt great, practically buzzing! I got home, cleaned the house, made dinner for us all (including pizza for my boys and didn’t even what that). I had loads of energy. I put down to a mix of the headache pills and getting hydrated. It lasted all evening and woke up to my non fast day the next morning also feeling good.

Well earlier this morning, was feeling hungry and bit lethargic. But literally in the space of going to the bathroom and back to the office...... I feel GREAT!!! It’s 11am here and all I have had is tea and water. Tummy is a bit rumbly but I feel like I am BURSTING with energy. I practically ran up the stairs from the bathroom and I’m sat in my office having a bounce around and jig on my chair lol. I can’t wait for my lunch break to get outside for a walk. I feel really happy too! :D

This is so bizarre, the change just seemed to happen over like 2 minutes! Is this what you talk about when you say you feel great and full of energy on fasting days? Need to make sure no one has slipped something in to my tea as that is just how it feels hahaha!! :D
Hi witchy wife

you sound like your a bundle of energy at the minute lol ...I hope I start having these bursts of energy aswell...I've only been on it a week, but I already feel alot better about myself and particulary feel good on fasting days, have yet to try out exercising on that day, but alot of peole say it feels good to exercise on fast days
Haha, well by the time I got out for my lunch I wasn't quite so bouncing with energy but still feeling good (still good now and its almost 4pm.... just some soup at 130 cals so far).

It was weird, like I was super hyper even!
awww well I suppose it's asking too much for it to last lol...but enjoy it while it's happening then...i could do with some bouncy energy tomorrow to help me get through my exercises!
This happened to me on Fri. 8th . This week decided to really fast till evening, and not spread calorie allowance over day. No problem, and in fact felt more lively and happy, with slight hungry tum, not agonising grumbles, which I quite liked. Doing it again this week to see if the happiness and liveliness continues.
I get a real buzz on my fasts if I start to do something physical like housework or popping out to the shop. Actually, if I can start to break a sweat I feel amazing!

It's harder for me to achieve this in the cold though as I just want to huddle up in my chair and feel warm :(

Think I'll get the stepper out in a bit and do some power stepping, that should get me feeling good :)
YOu've all inspired me to get on the treadmill :-)
I did loads of cleaning in house last week, no idea why, just fasted on the monday and thursday but I had the kitchen tidied up and super clean on Wed, and then did loads more on Friday! Even cleaned my leather sofa and gave it some leather conditioner! Which took ages!
Lucky you! On my fast days I'm as weak as a kitten. I'm sticking with this diet but I don't seem to get the buzz most other people are having. I have real problems sleeping too on my fast day as the noise from my rumbling tum is deafening!!
