General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

I'm into my third 'proper' week of fasts.
When I started, I had to have 3 small meals and a bed time snack.

I've now managed a small salad lunch (86cals) and am having a decent meal tonight (324 cals) with enough left for 2 Finn Crisps and lo cal cheese before bed. I aim to do without the bedtime snack eventually.

Have you changed the way you eat on fast days?
I am only on my 5th fast but have already changed how I eat my calories. On my first fast I had poached eggs for breakfast and then nothing until dinner. Now I think I prefer to have nothing in the morning and then just a cuppa soup at lunch (about 50 calories)at about 2pm and then the rest at dinner at around 6 or 7pm.

I think it is a case of experimenting and see what works for you.
I seem to be heading towards same sort of routine as you Rachelb. I am fine without breakfast but find I get very grouchy late afternoon if I have nothing till tea so just had a little bit of soup but can still look forward to a decent amount of tea later. I have a can of diet coke in the evenings (instead of wine!). I am still tending to go to bed pretty early to sleep away the remaining time but I guess that good for me too.
