Yearly 5:2
09 Mar 2015, 08:42
For the last 10 years I have gained a stone each year then lost that stone from dieting, which is usually post Christmas until the weight has gone. Nothing has changed except the diet which was calorie counting and now 5:2. I was an active member of the forum two years ago until my Dad had a stroke. Last year I lost the usual stone from fasting again but did not use the forum or tracker. This year I snuck into the Fastday website and so much has changed! The tracker is great. I just wanted to say thank you to those who have worked so hard on this. Two years ago I would have know exactly who to thank but I am a bit out of touch, sorry!

Anyway just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone.

Hi @nikki how's it going? Yes, if you haven't bean on here for a while you will notice a few changes!! Its certainly a lot quieter than it used to be too, which is a shame, but there's still plenty of folk on here who are super friendly and helpful.
So? How's 5:2 going at the moment?

Welcome back @Nikki! :) The person to thank is still Moogie :D with help from Paul, Jason and others. Moogie has had a lot of health issues to deal with, and is also busy with the FastStart program, but gets to this forum when she can - and sends out the regular newsletter.

Best wishes and good luck for your return :clover:

Hi, @Nicki, it's good to see you back! I used to do the same as you and have lost and gained the same stone and a half for years, otherwise known as extreme yo-yo dieting! However, things have changed and, although my weight does vary slightly throughout the year, for the first time ever I wasn't back to 12 stone something in January! :victory: So, I have a suggestion for you - instead of putting the stone on during the year, why don't you use occasional fasts to keep your weight within a couple of pounds of your target? There are a lot of us in the Maintainers Tent now and you would be very welcome there!
