What a difference 36lbs makes!
Approximately 36lbs difference between the 2 photos. About 20lbs is due to proper 5:2 since 1 January and 14lbs is due to a half hearted attempt up to Christmas 2013.

Wow @RachaelB!

You look fantastic! Congrats to you on your journey. That was a nice dose of inspiration on this chilly Tuesday morning.

Wow! RachaelB! You go, girl! What an inspiration! Just regular, plain 5:2 or do you also tweak in some way? Just curious.

Hi MLCDz. Thanks for the kind words. I just do the regular 5:2 with no tweaks other than eating slightly less on my weekday non fasting days so I can have more freedom at the weekends. Because I've had so many years of yo yo dieting, my concept of what is "normal" is somewhat flawed so I log every mouthful 7 days a week on My FitnessPal. That doesn't mean that I'm overly restrictive, I'm just mindful. I pretty much eat what I fancy, just perhaps not in the quantities I used to. Oh and I've eliminated all artificial sweeteners as far as I can from my diet, as well as ditching low fat spreads and having butter instead.

Thanks barbarita! Hey you're in the "normal" zone and I'm on the cusp of "obese" and "overweight" so I'd be gutted if you were losing at the same rate! Massively impressed that you've lost enough to get into "normal".

Thanks @RachaelB, I am being led to the same patterns & am happy with how things are happening for me. I'd be lost without MFP.
Thanks for taking the time to satisfy my curiosity :)
Continued success!
