osteo-arthritis & fasting

I'm new here. Been IFing since March 17, 2016. Lost 8# and have regained 5#. Realized it happened after I began taking a steroid nasal spray! The spray wasn't working (after using it a month) so I stopped taking it and hope to begin losing again. (I'm actually down a pound this week)
The thing I want to tell anyone with osteo-arthitis is this---For the last year, I'd been taking pain meds 3x a day for knee pain. I started IF (5:2) after reading it could help inflammation and arthritis. After 3 wks I realized that I hadn't been taking my pain meds. In fact, my knees don't hurt at all, I can do "squats" exersizing again, stairs? No Problem!
Even if I don't lose any more weight, I'm sticking with IF for the sake of my knees. We'd actually been thinking we'd have to move to a one floor home, but those thoughts are gone.
Thank you Dr. Mozley!
