I began this WOL on the 27th Feb 2012 - half-heartedly, because a quarter of your daily calories seemed so extreme! Wholeheartedly after the Horizon programme in August.
I tell my story - and all I've learned over the past year (not just about IF, but about how the cells of the body work) - in several posts on my blog:

And yesterday, I saw my doctor, to get the results from my recent fasting blood test:
BP 127/79 - which he described as 'perfect'
Cholesterol: HDL 1.7, LDL 3.1
Total cholesterol/HDL ratio 2.9
The doc said that these results were as good as he’d ever seen. I’m guessing he meant for a 75 year old man.
I forgot to ask what my cholesterol was 12 months ago, but, from memory, it was 'OK'.
On the subject of my low heart rate - 45 a couple of weeks ago, 48-49 yesterday, the doc was quite relaxed. No need to worry.
My 10 year prognosis is that I have a 21.9% chance of getting a heart attack or a stroke. Given that someone of my age is automatically given 20%, I’m quite happy with that.
Apart from these results, I'm absolutely on top of my game - I feel about 40 instead of my real age, and, where ever I go, there's a spring in my step.
I'm looking forward to the next 25 years! And, as someone else said, I can't envisage a week when I don't fast at least once!
Ps. I should add that I have mild COPD from smoking over 40 years ago - but that is well under control and does not affect my prognosis.
Edited to add that it's probably relevant to say that I've been vegan for the past 8 years. So I began IF with a bit of an advantage!
