Benefits & Side Effects

I have a friend who is on blood thinners and she tried a one day fast. When she had her INR measured it was very high.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this? Her doctor was no help
Thanks so much, I did a search for coumadin and blood thinners but not warfarin, (I don't know why) appreciate it.
Googling for "warfarin fasting INR" turns up a range of resources and discussions including Ramadan and hospital guidance on Warfarin management.

When I googled it I got mostly things about month long fasts or at least long term fasts.

My friend had decided since she was feeling so well that she would go without any calories, but still do her normal-fairly heavy-workouts.

I think what she is deciding to do now is a normal 5:2, where she eats the 500 calories. And I think she has decided to try to keep her Vitamin K intake as close as is reasonable on a day to day basis, no matter how many calories she takes in.

Thanks for your help.
