Tingling mouth
23 May 2013, 14:40
For the last week and a bit, the roof of my mouth (near my front teeth) has been tingling intermittently.

I'm on my fifth fast day today and haven't eaten until just now (3.30pm). Today the tingling has been much more intense than normal. Now I've eaten, and it seems to have stopped.
I've been trying to connect it to anything I can and they only thing I can think of is this: I googled it and apparently a tingling mouth can be connected with low blood sugar through fasting.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't experienced this but for some reason I thought I had read about somebody else on the forum having this happen to them. Just curious but how long into the fast before the tingling starts?

That's really interesting; I know I'm insulin resistant (have PCOS) so it seems to tie in quite well.

I started getting it about a week into the fasting. It still hasn't come back since I ate. Interesting!
