Hi everyone, sitting at Heathrow, heading back to SA. Good week, sorted out a school for my daughter and found a nice Victorian semi to rent for 3 years. Last week I had never heard of a Victorian semi.
Opening a bank account was less successfull, they wouldn't budge unless I had an address, oh well will have to try again in the future.
Anyhow, now back to move out of my house in South Africa the new owners want to move in at the end of the month and then its a guest house till we fly over again.
Who said the weather is rubbish in England, all week not a drop of rain and lovely evenings of sunshine.

Good to hear from you @brian1.
Sounds as though things are coming together for you all. Hope it continues.

An exciting but stressful time for you xx

Thanks, yes it has been a busy time.
worst part is that I have not been here much, also not much running and not much proper fasting. I haven't weighed myself for at least 3 weeks and I am sure I am up.
luckily I know 52 is easy to get back into.

Thanks for the update @brian1 Good luck with the move OH our weather is lovely and has been all week who's complaining not me.
Well done with getting so much sorted out on your recent visit. Not long now until you're in residence in your Victorian semi! I'm afraid that you must have been lucky with the weather - unfortunately it's not always like that - in fact it is rarely like that!
Hi Guys,
Update time, moved out of my house, was a bit sad, we built that house and lived there for more than 13 years, saw the kids grow up there.
Living in a guest house for 2 weeks now, getting a bit cramped but ok.
Final paperwork is submitted and the countdown is really on, just over 2 weeks now and then we will be in England.
Hopefully then I can get back into a proper eating and exercising regime, it has been a freezing winter here with all time record lows, last week was sub zero every day. May not sound too bad but remember we have no heating, double glazing or insulation.

Hello there. Great that things are going well. Hope you get settled in really fast as there's nothing better than the UK in the summer time.
Hope everything goes smoothly, just to make you jealous we've been having sunshine every day-at least where I am in the NW.
Thanks for the update @brian1 Glad things are moving along for you, hurry up our weather is lovely
good to hear from you @brian1 It's sad leaving a home you've put so much into isn't it. New pastures, beginings and all that though. Hope the guest house doesn't get too cramped and that the cold doesn't break you.
oh, and that the good weather the UK is having the now stays put for your grand arrival.
All the best
