English fluff novels
08 Jan 2014, 12:13
When we talked about shelties the other ay, I said something about English fluff novels, not managing to find the common used term. Here are a few I read recently, normally I read thrillers etc, need the excitement to be able to get through ;)
But when I sew, I don't have the attention span enough to read anything else but fluff. And I prefer that term, chick lit sounds a bit vulgar to me Swedish ear ROFLMAO.

Any fluff novel would have to be better than 'Fifty Shades of Grey' They are doing it on every page, Overkill and boring.

English authors are my all time favourite - from the classics to what you class as 'fluff' novels - I myself prefer to call them English Chick Lit - I am not offended by this terminology.

Currently my favourite modern authors include Carole Matthews, Jane Green, Jill Mansell, Katie Fforde, Marian Keyes, Jenny Coglan, Cecilia Ahern to mention a few.

Ooh @Wolfie please can you explain why chick lit sounds smutty? My Swedish is too limited...I can only think it sounds a bit like kyckling, but I don't know why that would be smutty...what am I missing? It's got me intrigued!
