Re: 'It's a lovely life' jar

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was a lovely idea. I have started a box for my husband; without him knowing as he is a bit like Eyore and always looks at the bad side of things. He finds this time of year especially difficult. The first thing in the box is that his blue and gold macaws seem to be reverting to their good natured selves after 4 months of hideous behaviour! :)

Mine for the day - no the week really - is that I discovered for definite that my pay is protected for 3 years, after having to take a post at a lower grade in review at work.

This means I will have this length of time to sort finances out and plan for a new self-employed career :victory: - with a bit more wiggle room

Today I used Oscar, my 18-week-old grandson as part of my weightlifting routine:

Whilst lying in a prone position, I lifted him from between my legs, up and over my head - 20 times.

Then I took him over from one side of me to the other - 20 times.

Since he now weighs 15+lbs, I'm claiming that as a serious workout!

My daughter and Oscar are going to be with us for a few days, so I'll think of a few more exercises to do with him, I'm sure!

(Thinking, 'Sumo dead lift'!)

ON a more prosaic note, it supposed to be above freezing today! YAY! Won't last a week, but still it does lift the heart!

My little boost today was shopping in ALDI supermarket and buying their 'Super 6' veg offer of cabbage, celery, spring onions, little gem lettuce, cucumber and garlic all at 39p. How good is that? :?:
Can you tell I'm easily pleased?

Time to make a deposit in the jar! Went out for a drive today after the rain. The rivers are flooding and everything looks green and beautiful. We watched a goanna swim across the river and the birds hawking for insects over the water. Very serene moment!!
