'It's a lovely life' jar
03 Jan 2014, 09:04
Image

I started this jar on Jan 1st to read at the end of the year and celebrate all the good things that have happened in this year. Or through the year on the days I get down and unhappy.
Feel welcome to start your own and/or post here in my virtual jar!
I started mine off by getting a new car!!

Hi Drila, what a great idea
I'd like to add to the jar that yesterday i had a lovely afternoon helping my gentleman frined choose a new sofa and armchair for his newly decorated lounge
He ended up getting the sofa/ armchair i like a lot!

I've seen this on Facebook, lovely idea, I've started blogging more on here and am adding bits and pieces like that to remember such things, if and when they occur.

I'm looking after my two grandsons aged 5 and 1 today, they are an absolute joy, not sure who is entertaining who! Will maybe get them to 'help' me take down all the deccies later, should be fun!

I'm off to find my jar too, I think I'll discuss this around the dinner table tonight with the family, and encourage the children to have their own jars too :) Thanks for sharing x

No jar here but a box, a metal one I have for years and didn't have a proper use until now

The good thing of the day is Boo, one of my cat (the tabby one) who is just next to me, In fact she's asleep just against my leg, warm and cozy and she always melts my heart when she does that

OK I stop now or I'll become too mellow

A fabulous idea especially for the days when you feel 'blah'.

I am going to do the same and I will also add any "random acts of kindness" I do throughout the year for the complete feel good factor.

Happy New Year!

That's a brilliant idea Drilakila! :like:

Here's my addition to the virtual jar: I spent a lovely afternoon with a friend I hadn't seen for a while and found a lovely pair of shoes at half price in the sales!

THANK YOU FOR SHARING

I've seen this mentioned before but it never really appealed; I never thought of opening the jar at the end of the year and going through and reading all those wonderful things that happened to me throughout the year - that sounds AMAZING

I keep a daily gratefulness blog but this is different; I love it!!

Starting it today

 Great idea @drilakila
Mine is also a new box as suggested to me by
@Wendy Darling and would normally be pretty full up during January but I'm being more"selective" now with my
'resolution being a (new me emerging).

Nice to see you again @Lynzinthesun happy new year

Wonderful!

It's along the lines espoused in 'The How of Happiness' by Sonia Lyubomirsky:

This is a brilliant idea thank you, I will tell family and friends also as we had a terrible 2013 and we hope 2014 will be better and this can help us appreciate those small things.

My virtual addition to the jar today.
Thank you for a lovely holiday and an easy journey back to the UK today despite the weather. Enjoyed watching Death Comes to Pemberley on my iPad whilst inflight. Even the Gatwick Express was running :like:
