@CandiceMarieOh dear, and after all your hard work too! As a local can you suggest anywhere else that could accommodate us CM? Given the choice I wouldn't go for a full Christmas menu either!

@PennyForthemI'm back! @CandiceMarie is there a lovely local Italian family rest/café that can take us in? They are always so accommodating x I'm googling!

Hmm does everyone like Italian?
I' m not a fan really,as i dont like tomatoes and i' m not very cheesy,but i can usually find something on the menu

@lizbean there's a familyrun Italian restaurant called Villa Romana..DD used to go a lot,but not for a long time as she 's been living in London for several years ( just returned home!Wooohooo! )
Have rung them and they said we don't have to have the Christmas menu.

Have also rung Carluccio's ..again they said we can eat from their usual menu(tho they dont have their usual
fixed price 2 course in December)

There 's Greek restaurants too...French..Chinese..English! All the usual.
Just depends what people want x
Greek family run restaurant since1974..

Pan Asian restaurant at the Pier Head - you could take ferry cross the Mersey afterwards!
Friends ate there recently and loved it..

I am not too bothered where we eat as long as it is within walking distance of Lime Street Station and not curry-spicy food makes my mouth sore- there's a name for it, but I can' t remember what it is. Don't really fancy Christmas fare though so close to the day.
Re: Liverpool meet

I' m really keeping that in mind @Merlin..very aware that you & @lizbean & @barbarita and possibly the others too, will be arriving at Lime Street..some of you after a longish journey,so am trying to look at places that mean you don't need to venture too far away xx :like:
The Pier Head venue do- able by the way,even tho further away,as can get a little shuttle bus from Lime st stn to Pier Head n back again ..ten mins..

@merlin @lizbean@barbarita etc..
We could go here? right next to the station..wd give you more time..could poss have time to go to the art gallery or st georges hall opposite. Nice but limited menu,but extremely conveniently located and the company more important than the grub! :like:

I really don't mind where we eat or what we eat. I'm just looking forward to meeting you all. I've got a really busy week so won't be on the forum much. So please go ahead and make a decision - I will go along with what ever you guys decide. See you all soon!

Hi @CandiceMarie, thank you for all the research! The Christmas menu at the Philharmonic would not suit me - not the quantity but there is nothing on the starters or sweets I would want. I could eat 3 courses off the a la carte at the Villa Romana with gusto! Any of the 3 places you listed on that post would do me. But the Maegertons looks like pizza, pizza, pizza so not for me, sorry. :heart:

Yes, thanks very much from me too!

Hi folks..yes i agree about the endless pizza at Ma Egertons @barbarita..i don't even like pizza!
The Pan Asian place is out coz @Merlin doesn't like too spicy ..neither do I ( for a fat person i am a very plain eater :lol: !)
@Esta @Pennyforthem and @lizbean say they don't really mind..
@Callyanna Do you have any likes / dislikes? X

@Candicemarie thanks for all the hard work, we are not making life easy for you.
Villa Romana , Carluccios or Ma's sound fine to me, it's people not food that count. Don't fancy having to get a shuttle bus bearing in mind the Christmas season, would rather spend the time chatting.

@CandiceMarieI'll eat anything (bar avocadoes!) so happy to go along with whatever we decide! x

Thanks guys,lets vote then!
Seems we're left with Carluccio's ...Villa Romana ...both Italian,which i dont like,but both do a tomato free chicken dish which I' m happy with
( Carluccio's prob slightly closer to Lime St,about a six,seven min walk)
