Thanks Merlin - 11th it is. I have never heard of going for Xmas dinner at school with the children, is it a fundraiser? My first Xmas celebration is 5 December - the season is nearly upon us!

I really don't know quite why the school is feeding relatives Christmas dinner, Maybe it is a fund raising thing- I'll be able to tell you when we meet!

Here we go @Merlin @Ssure @Madcatlady bumping up our London meet up NEXT week! Hope you can make it MCL? Everyone is welcome, never too late to sign up - 11 December early lunch/coffee.

I have been meaning to say..........just typical - after being around most of the time for ages I now have to go up North next week so won't be able to make it! I'm gutted! Hope you all have a lovely time though and don't forget we need pics! Next time I will cancel everything to be there ladies!

@Lizbean@Ssure did we fix a time? I probably need to leave around 2-it wouldn't be good if grandma was late picking the girls up, but I am planning to head for town when I've dropped them off in the morning.

Hi @Merlin @Ssure I'm flexible, could meet up for an early walk, browse ahead of early lunch/coffee in good time for you to head off at 2pm. Ssure how are you fixed?

I've booked no meetings for 11 Dec. to be on the safe side I probably can't get anywhere before 11:30 if that's OK altho' that obviously doesn't preclude the two of you meeting up for a ramble beforehand.

I am free once I have dropped the children off at school-and half way to Forest Gate Station. So I could easily meet earlier. I was thinking of going on to the Station and taking the train through to Liverpool Street and taking it from there . Not sure how long it take but image I'll be there by 10ish and happy to meet somewhere for a stroll or museum if it is wet!

Let me know what time to meet you at the Salvation Army cafe if that's still a good venue

Merlin that sounds like a good plan. I can meet you at Liverpool Station 10am and then we can meet Ssure 11.30am at the café. I'll PM you both my mobile and the meeting point at Liverpool Street. Hope the weather keeps up, sunny, clear blue skies today. Looking forward to our meet up .... this week! Anyone else up for joining us?

I was going to write just back from lunch, but we did so much talking that it was time for me to leave(at 2pm!) and we realised we'd only had a tea/coffee .

Yes, so much chatter we failed to have lunch - we ate words instead of food........ @Ssure I ate one of your lovely pistachio treats on the way back to work. Thank you - absolutely delicious, you have inspired me to return to baking.

Good to hear that you did get together! I will be visiting London in early June and will post closer to the time to see who might be available to meet up.
