Get to target weight within the first six months of the year.
Stop wasting money.
Cook from scratch more.
Get a new job.
Get back to regular evening walks.
Ok mine is to

1. reach my target by February
2. get my 20km bike to 40mins by Sept
3. Buy a house
Mmm, don't normally make any New Year's resolutions as they invariably set me up to fail but here's my 'hopes'.
*Cut out white carbs as far as possible
*Be more adventurous with my food and recipes
*Make the most of every new day and every fresh opportunity
Hmmm @Silverdarling I'm intrigued. What new career are you aiming for?

... Not revealing yet NB - don't want to put a hex on things  but it will be self- employed
I hope to be firmer in my avoidance of white carbs. I am also planning to get back to my running after my fall. :like: :clover:
I came to a mind boggling realisation about 3 days ago. That all I have to do to be the person I want to be is stick to the plan! So this year, I'm making the same resolutions I do every year:
Lose weight, start running, keep a clean house.

But the focus is a little different and way more specific:

1. Fast twice a week to lose weight.
2. Get out there every second day for a run (C25K atm)
3. Do simple routines morning and evening to keep my house clean.

All I need to do to change is stick to the plan! Funny that it's taken me 41 years to work that out

Happy New Year, everyone!

X
Wow! All fabulous aims and I wish you all the very best in keeping them.
Can we do this? Yes we can!
:0)
Here are mine -
Walk more
Run more
Fast at least one day a week
No alcohol except at weekends
Get back to target weight after the holiday blow out
Be more patient with my family (breathe!!!)
Be calmer and more patient (like SianS especially with my family)
Walk more and possibly do couch to 5k
Make more time for myself
Be more organised
Stick with 5:2 and readdress my target. I'm nearly there and had no idea at the outset that I could do this so I am thinking of re-evaluating down to 8st.
Oh and last but not least..... drag DH into 5:2 kicking and screaming! ( he knows he wants to :rotfl: ) he is so pleased for me with my achievement that I think I could encourage him.
My all-purpose resolution: JUST DO IT!
1) GET RUNNING AGAIN!!!!!
2) get meditating again!!!!
3) be more assertive
4) keep fasting
5) be kinder to myself
6) cut down on nicotine lozenges!!!!

I don't normally make resolutions, well ok, I do but I 'forget' about them... These are things I've been mulling over for a while now and are things I have decided to work towards and be mindful of, going forward.. Actually... They are things I have worked towards/achieved in the past but over the last few months I just couldn't keep it up. So I KNOW I can do it and I know what the rewards will be and how easy they are to get once I've got my mojo on! Hmm... I could've summarised my list as that; to get my mojo back on
Hmmm @Silverdarling I'm intrigued. What new career are you aiming for?

@nursebeanYou crack me up ... Versatile bean
Lose the last 4lbs to my target and maybe keep going??
Incorporate Fast Exercise into my week. I read the whole book yesterday and realize I need to increase my Fast strength.
This is the first year in I don't know how many that my first resolution is not to lose weight!!

Resolutions are to
-build a succesful business
-explore HIT and NEAT and use them to exercise and move more
-eat mindfully
-get my kids to bed at a decent hour!!!

I think I have my work cut out!
