New Year resolutions for 2014
31 Dec 2013, 09:37
I had a think about this and came up with three bees for me ...
Be kind
Be 69kgs
Be Here Now

Keep my actual weight (well, put on 2 kgs before and then keep this weight)
Being present for the people I love without being too much of a presence
Loving them just as they are
and quit smoking for good this time (I began to smoke again a few weeks ago because of all the stress, it was that or eating...)

 Great topic. @Azureblue and your wish list

Ooohhh@Manderley you naughty girl yes you must cut that one out again to fit in with your new slim and healthy figure and now new lifestyle

Manderley the avatar yes a big grey bear just like me Lol
he is a temporary one because even with all the instructions on here I can't yet install the cute kitten one that I've saved from an offsite page but won't give up trying
My New Year wish List::::
As my signature says to lose at least another 50lbs!!!!!
Also to increase my walking. (this has become infrequent lately ) Get back into the full day walks that I had to give up because of my mobility problems roughly 2/3 years ago.
Confess all to my hubby Re:: this WOL even to use the F word which strangely enough he has no idea I'm fasting at all so after the confession I'll show him the horizon programme that should convince him that I'm doing things sensibly he can obviously see my results and knows I'm far "fitter" than I have been for about 3 years now

Yes I'm going to be busy meeting all the above and the weightloss one is a big ask I know that but I'll take any loss that comes my way as a bonus
@Sue.Q, if you send the pic by mail I can put it on my imageshack and give you the direct link to post it here. Not the most practical way of doing it but still....

I need to add to my list, after reading yours, to increase my riding, would be great to go for 1h30 every other day
I always break my New years resolutions , so maybe its best to say none then I won't have any to break hehe
A good idea Azureblue because if I post a resolution I will have more resolve to keep to it
So here goes!
Always do as I would be done by i.e be helpful, friendly & courteous to others.
Keep losing weight & get to my goal weight in time for my sons wedding in September.
Build in some exercise every week to try & tone up wobbly bits ( After my physiotherapy for my stupid shoulder & arm before starting the bat wing exercises ) That will be the really difficult one because the only type of exercise I do spontaneously is dance to the music on the radio
Most importantly Keep on 5:2ing forever!
I've never set a resolution before, I will just say "keep up the good work"
I really want to change a lot of things in my life that have been hanging over my head for years. I plan to do that with a lot of small little changes/habits. I will add one each week. They involve losing weight (of course), getting my house organized and more welcoming, doing my best at both my jobs, but also trying to have a bit more fun!
I love your bees @Azureblue but I'm sure you're already kind...aren't you?!

As for me, it's a bit difficult because of my ME which is currently ruling my life but I can certainly resolve to stay fasting and try to reduce the amount of "silly foods" I eat in between. So by doing this my main aim for 2014 is:

TO REACH MY DREAM TARGET OF 9 STONE 7 LBS BY CHRISTMAS 2014!!
I'm going to hit my target weight sometime in 2014.

. I want to learn to be tidy. I like the idea of adding something every week , suggested by cblasz. I could start by keeping it tidy next to my bed, then the next week, I could tidy up the floordrobe, permanently. That might make it manageable.
I applaud anyone who makes rezzies but i dont any more..not on a yearly basis anyway, just try to see each new day as a fresh start to do my best in every aspect of my life x
 keeping up 5:2
 moving more
 being mindful

Welcome @vip to the forum! Did you post on the intro page?

My resolution is to pay more attention to what others are saying! :victory: I am a bit of a chatterbox when I get going.
Great idea for a thread @azureblue - also great resolutions :victory:

Mine are:

 Get to target weight by end April or earlier :victory:
 Take the first step towards a new career (and keep taking steps   )
 Spend some money on updating my house - ( this is a bit counter-intuitive as I've just had to take a pay-cut of £3k)

And also:

 cook more from scratch
 aim to have a decent holiday (counter-intuitive again)
 do something creative - and nothing to do with work
Hmm. Never sure about making resolutions but here goes.

Reach my goal weight by August
Keep up the exercise
Keep fasting
Live more in the moment
Do more good deeds
Be even more grateful
