Hi @KarenM & @justdee - how are you both this morning?

Started off my day with a piece of spinach and sweet potato tortilla with avocado and HP sauce. Trying to get an essay for my MA in today (already about two months late!) - what are you up to?

Pinchy xx

Haha you've got funny taste @pinchypops, I would never think of putting those things together. :) Glad your fast went well yesterday, ok a few cals over but it was a back to back so all is good.
I'm fasting today, so far I've had 2 coffees and some green beans left over from last nights dinner. Chicken salad for dinner tonight, yum. Going to spend the day getting ready for family to arrive tomorrow, cleaning, making beds up etc, loads to keep me busy today. Have a lovely day ladies :)

Edit: Also you're probably right not to worry about the scale pinchy. This morning my weight has gone up higher than it has in 3 weeks but my waist is the lowest it's been all year. Not holding out much hope of it staying there but nice to see it. :)

I am having a good day so far. I've just had a small cheese roll (with whole grain bread).
Our bathroom has been finished this morning, so I popped into town. I had to walk past boots twice and managed to not go in and get weighed (big deal for me) i am actually looking forward to weigh day on Friday as I've had a really good week, even though we were away over the weekend. I just hope the scales are kind
I'd like to get to the point of not caring what the scales say, but I know I'm bloated today and not sure why
We have a beef brisket in the slow cooker for dinner and will be having sweet potatoes and whatever frozen veg we have left.
Hope you get your essay finished @pinchypopsxxx  xxx
I don't envy your preparations for visitors, but enjoy your guests stay. Have a good fast day @justdee

How are my fasting buddies @justdeeand@pinchypops doing?
I've fasted so far today. I even managed to sit in the bakery cafe and just drink black coffee whilst OH had a pasty, ka had a sausage roll and they then shared a cake!
For dinner I have chosen a breakfast - sausage, bacon, eggs, beans and a slice of toast. I've not calculated the cals, but I'm not too worried as I know it's a low cal day regardless. We bought some lovely looking chocolate bars whilst in the supermarket, but I'm keeping mine for my feast day tomorrow!
Weigh day for me tomorrow, so come on 11s!!! :clover:

@justdee & @KarenM - hi ladies!

I woke up today very hungover from a mixture of Prosecco, wine, gin and more prosecco.

Haven't eaten too badly today though - I had poached egg and avocado on toast for breakie, followed by a chocolate and peanut butter slice and appletizer. For lunch I've had sweet potato and spinach tortilla with feta and carrot salad, followed by some mango. Not sure what I'm having for supper, but will probably go out for dinner, so will have to choose wisely!

KarenM - well done for your restraint today in the bakery! I find it very hard to pass up a sausage roll

Your tea sounds scrummy - hope you enjoy your choccie tomorrow xx

Dinner was 593, but my weekly calorie total only came to 7584, just wondering whether that's a tad low? Think I need to check out minimum calories!
The fact you're already functioning @pinchypops, is brilliant compared to last time I drunk and nearly missed the wedding we'd gone away to attend
Take it easy on yourself til you're less fragile

Thank you @justdee  I'm feeling more content about my weight. I am hoping that I don't put loads on whilst I'm doing 19:5/18:6 instead of 5:2 :clover:

Hello ladies, great thread name and a great read. Thank you. Can I say something please? Please don't be offended but there's too much bread going on. Try and cut it out, you can spend your calories on much more of something else. Bread isn't satisfying, it makes you crave more. Just saying, items not a criticism, just a friendly tip. Hope you don't mind xxxxx

I don't mind. I am doing the bread in stages - cut out white bread (except for the naans, I have had naan three times in last 6 months, but they were all recently  ) when I cut out all bread, I struggled with everything and binged, so just having the seeded bread and now I'm doing 19:5 I'm not having breakfast (toast) or sandwiches for lunch!
Thanks for the advice@wendy darling

Hi buddies @pinchypopsand @karenm, I'm back after a week of holiday stuff. I haven't fasted but have maintained at 12st, very happy with this as it happened without trying. I'll be fasting on Monday, don't know if I'll do 5:2 or 4:3, I'll see how I feel. How's it going with the eating window karen? It sounds like a good plan and I bet you continue to lose. How are you doing pinchy?
Thanks for mentioning the bread thing @Wendy Darling, I do eat more bready things than I should, I need to keep an eye on it.

Hi ladies, I have managed 19:5 so far. I've not been weighed this week, possibly not weighing next week as little one will be in hospital and I'm on a course the week after. I'm a bit nervous about not weighing for a month. I might try and pop into town for a sneaky weigh, but if know there are differences throughout the week
I am hoping my eating will settle into the 19:5 pattern and that I will maintain easily.
Did you have a nice week @justdee?
How are you @pinchypops?
Re: Three Fast Ladies
27 Jul 2014, 12:22
I had a great week thanks @karenm, trips to the beach, bbqs, meals out and late nights at the bar. First fastday in over a week tomorrow, not really looking forwards to it as I know the first few fast after a break are the hardest. I have been weighing daily so know I haven't gain but have not put it in the tracker as I normally record weight after a fast. I don't know how I got away without gaining this last week, I didn't always have breakfast and if I had breakfast I missed lunch, not intentionally but just wasn't hungry enough to eat again before the evening meal. I'll see what this week brings, I'm expecting it to be difficult as I get back into the swing of it. Try not to worry about the scale karen, you don't need the extra stress, if you weigh and it doesn't say what you want to hear it could make you stress about it more and as we know stress isn't great for weight loss. Just carry on with the eating window, forget about the scale and remember you are doing the best you can for your health over the next few challenging weeks. All the best for you and the family x

Thankyou @justdee. I think I'll be in a better position to get back on 5:2 in 3 weeks time, which will also be the next time I'll be able to get weighed. This will also give me 4/5 weigh ins before the end of springy challenge. I've set my target a tad high and considered reducing it, but have decided that I will lose those 14lb, though it might take me a little while longer
