Re: Three Fast Ladies

Well done @karenm for getting that first fast done, glad to hear your OH is back on board. Today I had a bit of a wobble but next week I'm going to do 2 real 500 cal or less fast. I have fallen in to a pattern of 2 meals a day most days as I'm just not hungry enough to eat more. It's not really a window, more just listening to my body. I often feel hungry an hour or so before dinner but these days I know if I eat then I won't be hungry for dinner, so I wait. I'm really happy with this change because I no longer feel that I have to feel full at all times. I think I'm trying to see the silver lining of this WOE after a bad-ish fast day. I'll be in with you on Monday Karen, have a nice weekend :)

I'll be with you on Monday. I've totally lost control of my eating. I feel fat and unhappy. I'm planning on getting weighed this morning to shock me into eating better. I'd love to see 11st something, but expecting 12st 5lb. I will be gutted if it's more than that
I have made a decision to get back on this, so here I am.
Fast yesterday, eating out today, birthday food tomorrow, then mon & thurs fasts next week.
I regret binning our bathroom scales now  The trip into town for boots scales means I keep putting it off
Have you heard from @pinchypops recently @justdee?

Hope the scales are kind to you @Karenm. Often I find with this WOE, I feel I've over eaten when I haven't really (not like the old days anyway), I may sometimes eat the wrong things but it takes a lot less of them to do the trick. Sometimes I think I've gone well over TDEE but when I add it up I haven't. You've done really well over these last few weeks Karen and you're still here to tell the tale, that's progress and it doesn't really matter what the scale says. You could have easily justified not thinking about what you're eating and coming back to it in a few months after you'd regained, but you didn't, you managed it well. Changes are a happening, well done, you go girl. <3

ps not heard from pinchy, but she'll be back :) Just you and me for now hun, I'll do Mon/Th next week too x

I didn't make it to the scales, had a big sob instead
Feeling better now. I am overwhelmed at everything and was beating myself up for not getting everything right, but it am only Hunan and need to give myself a break!
We went to Perranporth today and had fish and chips at 1.30, then a sandwich and a French fancy for tea (this was all with the inlaws)
Tomorrow will be cooked breakfast and party food for tea. I sometimes struggle to believe ka is still here at 13! It's amazing really
Monday will be a fast day
Tuesday we are having Korean food! My brother in law brought his girlfriend to cornwall for the first time (he has only just admitted to seeing her and they've been together since 2005!) She is from South Korea and brought us a gift of mat kimchi - a traditional side dish (only 30 cals per 100g so we are hoping it's good!)
It'll be nice to have company on Monday. Hubby admitted he really didn't enjoy yesterday's fast, but he did manage  perhaps he will join us on Monday
Hope pinchypops is doing ok?

(((hugs))) @karenm, you sob away hun, the stresses of life have to show one way or another, better to have a good cry than opening the fridge and just going for it. You always have so much to deal with and seem to take it all in your stride, you do need to give yourself a break, you're doing a great job all round. You are a superwoman (would put a link here to Alicia Keys "superwoman", but don't know how to do that (sorry you'll have to youtube it) but that song's for you from me hunny. :)
Tomorrow is indeed a day to celebrate, happy 13th birthday to your amazing little girl  :present: :cake: . Enjoy the day and live, laugh and love

Hi @Sue.Q, the move is turning into a bit of a nightmare. Thought we would be in for the first of Sept but looks like it's going to drag on well into next month :( . It's my daughters 12th birthday this weekend, been running around trying to get everything ready. Got her a pet hamster today (early birthday gift). She's been asking for one for years and I've always said no more pets. Think she's old enough to take care of one now, so she now has a hamster called 'Princess Honey Hamster the first' and I'm the best mum in the world (for now).
How's your week been Sue? Hope the scale is still being kind to you :)

Enjoy your weekend @justdee especially your daughters birthday and cake those are special moments that are gone far to quickly. :cake:  :cake:  :cake:

My week could have gone better, after my back2back which were good its the other 4 that were the problem
so a gain for me and a shed load of determination for the week ahead. :clover:
Re: Three Fast Ladies

Thanks @Sue.Q, I've had another 2 good fast this week to get a head start on the birthday cake this weekend :) My body and the scales are being very kind to me. This morning I'm under my interim 12st goal, the first time on an official weight in day. My weight has only gone up a lb all week so I think this is the real deal  . I'm really pleased, this back to basic 5:2 really seems to be working for me. My weight will probably go up again next week (as it normally does) but that's ok, I know it's working as clothes are feeling baggy and I'm feeling slimmer. :)

@justdee, that's great news :grin:
Enjoy the birthday celebrations
I have gained 2lb in 5 weeks(may have been more, but had a successful fast yesterday). Hopefully it'll be down, down, down from now on!
Onwards and downwards ladies xxx  xxx

Well done @justdee You lucky girl under the
12stone mark!! Keep it up at you'll go green in no time.

@Karenm I'd call that a good five weeks only 2lbs I've almost gained that this week alone.

Never mind we've all got our Mojo's back ready for another week of Determination fastdays.

Thanks ladies, I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing and hope for the best. Basic 5:2 Monday + Thursday and try to eat mindfully the rest of the time.
@Karenm, don't worry about that 2lbs, It took 5 weeks for them to creep back on, but a couple of good fast and they'll be gone. Hey!!, I'm a poet and I didn't know it  . Are you back in on Monday hun? :clover:
Re: Three Fast Ladies

I will be there Monday! Eaten lots tonight and discovered koko kanu, coconut rum, so I've also indulged in 2 or 3 of those! But it's all ok as my eating window was less than 6 hours and I'm fasting monday
How are thing dee? xxx
Hi @sue.q it's lovely to be pulled back here, ty

Hi @Karenm, things are good, still enjoying the summer. Getting a bit worried though, we should be moving soon but it's turning in to a nightmare. We need to be moved by 15th of Sept (DD starts school), but who knows if we will have by then. The house is mostly packed up, only things left out are things we need, so it's like living in a storage unit at times. That will teach me, I was trying to be super organized  . Oh well, we'll be moved soon enough, just got to ride this wave. :)
Re: Three Fast Ladies
25 Aug 2014, 07:09
I've never been super organised
I'm a last minute stressy girl (yes I know girl is stretching my description somewhat  )
Is the moving holdup anything you can change? Or is it down to others?
Hopefully you'll be sorted and moved in time for DD to start school.
Determination fast days @sue.q I think I'm more in need of determination (not eating everything in the house) inbetween days!
Right! I'm off to get started on today's list of jobs!
Has anyone seen@pinchypops?
