I read a lot - and knit and crochet. Usually have something on the go, as I don't like my hands idle. Cooking is another love - guess why I'm here! - and theatre. When the weather gets a little bit warmer I'll be in the garden too, as I have raised veg. beds that need planting up/seeds putting in; but the ground is too cold so far this year.

We enjoy travel too - have just booked a train trip to SE France for September.

Hi all, I am about to take up nordic walking! I live by the coast so am really looking forward to getting out there and see my beautiful local area.
Other than that, similar to others here, I love reading, going to the gym, socialising and eating out!

Like many others I enjoy gardening and reading. I've just finished a degree through the OU so for the last 4 years I've just been studying no time to read or garden looking forward to doing both again. My husband enjoys sailing and although I don't I try to go every now and again in case I change my mind! I've just started running again. Going for coffee with friends is also high on my list of enjoyable activities.

Unfortunately, my favourite 'activities' are curling up on the sofa with a good book and a nice glass of wine or going shopping, neither of which help with losing weight! (Unless you count getting depressed when you try on new clothes that still don't fit or look good!!)
I really wish I enjoyed running or playing sport or something very physical to burn off loads of calories, but I'm afraid I don't. Never have done, even as a child I'd rather have been reading or drawing and did everything I could to get out of PE!

I like reading, walking (which I can now do easily and painlessly since a hip replacement last summer), pottering in the garden (nothing too heavy), cinema (OH and I love watching films) and my 2 cats. Looking forward to doing some travelling now that kids have all but flown the nest - although 2 are still at home they certainly don't need M&D around to look after them. Think it's time that we had a 'gap year' and did some SKI-ing (Spending Kids Inheritance)

My main hobby is cooking. I like creating my own recipes (I will write a book one day) and altering traditional ones.
I don't have the free time to add something to my daily or weekly routine but when I do have time to spare I go out for a coffee/drink/meal with my friends.
I read when I ride the bus or metro but I would love to have more time and finish one book in two days, like I used to do when I was younger.

I run, but apart from that sadly don't have time for much. I have 3 gites with a big garden and pool, they are full since last week in March through to end Sept, and I also teach English in the week. I'm a single mum with a 12 and 6 year old and a French BF I don't live with but manage to see often enough. Keeping busy on fast days has never been much of a problem!

I love to read and listen to music. When my son went off to college to study music, I decided it was time I got back to playing. I had played in band in H.S. Also decided to ride the commuter bus between home and work (saves money, reduce pollution, and you can't beat the entertainment!). The bus driver plays trumpet and told me about New Horizon Band (designed for folks 50+ and haven't played in a while or NEVER played) and took up bass clarinet. In my third year and loving it. Also enjoy gardening, though didn't do too much last year due to broken leg! Gearing up for this year, though.

I moved to London 2 years ago so there is still SO much to see and do here. I love the theater and spending an hour or two wandering round a museum before going for a nice lunch.

I really enjoy walking and there is a nice park right behind my house that I like to wander round, especially when the sun is shining.

At home I mainly like to read and cook. I like trying out simple but tasty dishes on my friends/OH.

I love exercise when I have the motivation to do it (usually the summer months) I have about 10 workout dvds that I find are great! Cheap, no one sees you, often quite quick and effective. I'd recommend them to anyone as there are such a wide selection of DVDs to choose from.
