Ah, Surrey... so close to London, LOL!
Oh yes - 18 minutes to Victoria on the train, but leafy here with green fields round the corner!
Good thoughts everyone. I think it's good 5:2 weather in the UK and it sounds even better in Athens.
Luckily I've not really felt hungry on this fast day. Keep shining sunshine!

Doodle, have you been to Egham? It seems like a nice place for a walk, a nice lunch... is it?
Thelovelysqueaky, not very nice for fasting. It's ice cream weather ALL THE WAY, LOL!!!

Yes, Egham is lovely. My cousin went to school near there in Englefield Green. But it's all lovely in the sun!
Mmmmm thanks for the thumb's up.
Last time I was in London I was considering a day trip from Paddington. I googled all the destinations and I fancied the sound of Penzance (which I always thought was in France for reasons I can't quite fathom, LOL) but then I realised it was a 5 hours trip and decided against it.

Oxford! Or Cambridge (from Liverpool St)
Or York (2hr from Kings Cross)
Been to both Oxford and Cambridge. I don't fancy KX but I do love Liverpool Street. Sometimes I ride the 23 bus to Liverpool Street, walk around, pick up a Cornish Pasty and leave.
I think that my next day trip will be to Bicester Village, he he...
Haha! I had just thought you might be going there LOL and was going to post, but you beat me to it
Btw, you wouldn't recognise Kings Cross, if you haven't been recently. All new high tech station, much more spacious, airy, places to sit, light, balcony cafes and coffee shops. NOTHING like the old horrible KX.
My absolute fave though is teeny Marylebone ...

In this little corner of Wales, we had no sun today! About 20C and very comfy! Promises a cooler night's sleep, too.
PennyForthem - I never thought a few weeks ago that I would be praying for cool nights ...
Phew pennyforthem,do you live by the coast? It was far hotter over my way, with a cooling breeze occasionally.only a mere 26,ha ha how often do we get to say that
