I like Marylebone, but St. Pancras is my favorite!
Trust we Brits to end up talking about the weather!

TML 13: I lived in Egham for the first eighteen years of my life and still have family there.

Good to hear from you all again!
From one extreme to t he other. Shetland had 12C , gale blowing and fog, sandpit had 48c and dust cove. Know which one I'd rather have ;)
I enjoy the weather talk, even if I struggle with the conversion. There was a real heat wave here in the middle of the US. News channel said 95; but my thermometers both read over 100. I have no point of reference for 20s or 30s in Celsius. I know 0 = 32 but I'm too old, tired or lazy to do the math today. lol
12C is 53F
48C is 109F
Big difference
And then my personal favourite is working out the temperature that it feels like when it's humid... ;)
43tweaker - 20=68 and 24=75 Most of UK is above 24 at the mo, which is highly unusual for a week or so of continuous heat, and it is looking likely to continue! Nights have been very muggy indeed, but I'm sure not as humid as other places around the globe ...
The day I wish for a cool night will be the day when my friends demand from the aliens who kidnapped me to bring me back! ;-)

I haven't been to KX for years, to be honest. I adore Paddington, it's the area I usually stay when I visit (there or Marble Arch).
All this talk of hot weather is making me miss summer even more!! Here in NZ where I live in the North Island the high was 10c and it will be 1c overnight. Roads are closed in the middle of the island and in most of the passes due to snow. Flights and ferries are cancelled. Never mind its only for a couple of weeks, will start warming up soon.

Still haven't heard from redhead, anyone any idea?
Well I have been in long sleeve cotton shirts Friday in Brisbane Queensland and now back in New South Wales in my winter wollies. Not northern hemisphere conditions but its a mild winter when not raining.

GMH has gone AWOL as well I notice but good to have you back TML, Ballerina and Betsysgr8.
I'll be honest, I yacked that much when I was on holiday that I thought you all deserved a rest. I have pulled all my ramblings and am editing them to send to friends but here is the shocker, there were 17 pages, I ask you, SEVENTEEN pages!!!! How on earth you all put up with that I don't know.

Am now doing my Actiderm body wraps so I will try and not write quite so much about that, see you all back here soon, enjoy the weather xx

Ballerina x

Oh please!!!! I know that we are all dying to know how the wraps are going. You have such a gift in finding (and expressing) the humor in all that you and yours do together. I really enjoyed vacationing with you in france and really looked forward to the daily updates. Please take us with you on your next journey.
You have all got first class seats for the next daft trip xx

I agree with Betsysgr8, Ballerina, we definitely want to hear all about the body wraps - living vicariously thru you as my body definitely "needs" lots of wraps and then some!!!

Hope to hear lots more soon. :clover:

P.S. I think Redhead has left the fold, but GMH . . where is she?
Your ramblings are probably the highlight of my summer, please go on!!!
TML - the Kings Cross area has changed greatly - it is now quite trendy! When I go down and stay, I now stay 5min from KX in Cartwright Gardens (Bloomsbury) it's near Russell Square, and away from the major roads it's a little oasis with a character all it's own. If I won the lottery, I'd buy a small apartment round there (only half a million £ ...   )
