Some books I do like. In no particular order.
An Officer and a Gentlewoman, True Grit, Twenties Girl, A Gay and Melancholy Sound, Life of Pi, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Daemon.

Some authors I like.
Terry Pratchett - most of them.
Jo Nesbo - not Headhunter, awful book.
Lee Child's Reacher books.
A. M. Homes. Mo Hayder. Lexi Revellian.
Jilly Cooper - most of them, fact and fiction.
Kate Atkinson - including the non Jackson ones.
Bill Bryson - most of them.
Georgette Heyer - including the factual ones.

Recently I read: The Journey Home

Image

It is the autobiography of Radhanath Swami, he grows up in Chicago USA, follows the hippie trail across Europe and the Middle East into India. Its a journey that finds him living in the forests with ashen covered, trident carrying babas, living in a cave by the Ganges. It's a wild rollicking tour through the spiritual backwaters of India until he finds himself called out of a crowd by a Guru who becomes his spiritual master - A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. I heard part two is about to be released soon. For me it was one of those 'I couldn't put it down' books.

I am an iPad reader, trying to kick the physical book habit, but it's hard.
