I just enjoy folks daily grind. How did you do ....what did you eat and how did you feel...sounds a bit mundane eh? Reality check for me fat bird needs day to day coaching. Help!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA :rotfl:

Perfectly understandable. I can be quite the cunning linguist when the need arises.
Ohhhh risqué
Annie, yes indeed, mmmm, but the gentleman does have a certain way with words, n'est pas?

Louise, the photos are amazing!

Julie, I'm sure your toys are far too well finished to cause splinters but it does beggar belief as to how long a pair of tweezers might be needed if they weren't!

Makes my hobby boring. I crochet. Actually I belong to a charity called Cuddles and we supply specialist bereavement midwives with tiny clothing and blankets for still born babies. In particular the very tiny ones of under 20 weeks. My speciality is little crochet cribs for babes too fragile to dress.
Wow Miffy, what a wonderful use for your hobby! Not boring at all!

Why do people think they will get splinters? Has anyone had splinters from a wodden chopping board? :)
Back on topic...

My hobby is breadmaking - and I'm lucky enough to teach my hobby! (Love teaching, too!)

I've had a blog for the past couple of years where I detail all my breadmaking adventures - and I've also been chronicling my IF experiences over the last 18 months. I'm a vegan, so I've posted quite a few vegan recipes on there - many on them calorie counted for 5:2.

Until I started my blog I was always going to write a bread book - but writing for the blog seems to satisfy my instinct to publish!

Wow, Louise! I've just looked at your blog and those images are truly stunning! It's pretty obvious that you love what you do.

I wonder - just a thought - are there are any differences you can pick up with your SEM between the different strains of yeast we use? Saccharomyces cerevisiae or baker's yeast - and Saccharomyces exiguus one of the wild yeasts used for sourdough.

Don't put yourself out, Louise, it's just an idle thought!

I don't know, it would depend on whether the genetic differences between the species are manifested in their phenotype. I think for SEM we would need one with a higher resolution than one I use daily, but I have access to one if needed. TEM would probably reveal more differences as we would see the interior of the yeast cells. :) I am going to see if anyone has compared them with EM before.

Naughty girl!
I have few hobbies nowadays, as work keeps me busy during the week and many weekends.
I enjoy photography, drinking and eating!
Not a sex toy or splinter in sight, but I did see some fine timber and a chain saw sculptor today!!
As for splinters, I use fine grain hardwoods and sand them down past 1,000 grit. You will likely use 80 grit for sanding before painting in the home. They are given 3 layers of sealant and an application of oil, usually coconut oil. It doesn't give the shine I would like but I need more info on 'suitability' before using other oils or finishes.
My christmas wish list is for a chainsaw. Hubby won't buy me one because I am too clumsy at the moment due to the tablets I'm on. But once I have my surgery, you watch me go.
I'm with your husband on this one

 oohh err, missus
Hobbies... I remember them I think.

I work full time/term time in a secondary school and I'm studying for an OU degree (BSc in Psychology) so spare time is something I used to have because if I'm not at work I'm studying or sleeping.

If I do get a spare few moments I write (I have a novel a sitcom and a screenplay on the go), I make jewellery (I have a folksy website but it's currently empty), and I make cards. My sister-in -law and I are thinking of starting a childrens party business doing craft parties (card making/jewellery/decopatch) but we're only at the working out demand and pricing possibilities at the moment.

Hubby and I like visiting animal attractions (ethical ones only) and exploring the local open gardens and royal parks (we live near Windsor).
