Thank you all for so many lovdly wishes. Now to my update. I went to the theatre at 1pm and was back on the ward by7pm, a slightly longer operation than expected, but they did have to go through a substantial fat layer to get to my hip bone for the implant chunk. My hip hurts more than my neck right now, I have been told that I will probably be on crutches when I leave as my hip now, effectively has a small fracture where they chiseled it. It's looking as if the operation went really well. I have the feelinh ba k in my fingers and Ive even managed to eat a sandwich, with lots of chewing. I can even talk, at whisper, so far, but I can talk. Hubby and the kids will be so disapointed LOL.

Thank you all for keeping me in you thought.

Julie.
Lovely news julie. Sleep tight now xx
Didn't expect to see you posting so soon after your op Julie so all must have gone really well. The worst is now over so let your lovely family look after you now and spoil you rotten until you are literally back on your feet. So relieved it's all over for you and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery xx

Very pleased to hear from you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sleep well x
Excellent! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
I'm so pleased your op went well. It must be all the healing vibes flowing to you from this forum that's worked the magic - that and a good surgical team, I guess! Look after yourself very carefully and don't skimp on the pain relief - they offer it for a reason!
Looking forward to hearing from you again when you're feeling up to it
Thank you so much for your update. I hope your recovery goes well and you get back to normal soon, even if hubs and sons wish otherwise (re: your voice)!

Best wishes! :clover:
