So happy to hear the good news, Julie--hope the wait is nearly over.
Phew. That's great news, Julie!
I am so impressed how positive you are keeping through the whole thing, not sure I could keep my chin up so well!
Lots of love
Good to hear Julie - and even tho you are waiting for a surgery date, hopefully you can now relax enough to enjoy the holiday period. Xx

I second that remark!!
Excellent news Julie :like: :like: :like:

If you didn't eat all of that banoffee pie maybe another small piece would be in order as a celebration ;)
:clover: :clover: :clover:
All the very best Julie, take care.

cheers Maggie xx
Great news @Julieathome. Lets get you sorted in 2014 :)

Did they give any rough estimate of the waiting list (apart from not saying you have been on it for 6 months !)? :like: :clover:
Thanks for sharing your news with us and all the best with the rest of the wait and op of course
Very glad for you Julie!!

Hope you won't have to wait too long, fingers crossed for you :-)
Julie, that is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s news, congratulations. Also, we've not heard from@tickatapeabout how her appointment went, hope she is OK as well

All the very best to you Julie.
The secretary let slip that it was a 12 month waiting list. So, fingers crossed I should be done and dusted by June 2014.

As for the Banoffee pudding, I countered it by not eating much yesterday. I shared a slice of rich fruit cake with hubby at the hospital, and had a chicken kebab for dinner, without the naan/pitta bread. So basically just chicken, salad and a few chips.
Good luck :clover: @julieathome fingers crossed for the future. Sorry I am not exactly sure what you are having problems with - should have looked up on another post maybe. I had a spinal op 10 years ago - the op itself and the recovery afterwards went really well. The op wasn't a big success unfortunately - but don't be discouraged by that (I'm not) - I just happen to fall in the small percentage of people it didn't work for - that goes for any op for any medical problem!

I hope you shoot through the list very quickly

My appointment last night went well. The guy I saw was lovely and very approachable. I have started to have coccyx problems to add to my list! Was pleased last night that he didn't look at me and say my weight was an issue! That in it self felt fab! I am going for physio and the back in 3 months - fingers crossed this will work and I don't have to have the injection or later another op. Though I have been told I do need to sit on a ring cushion that looks like a spear tyre! Lol and here was me thinking I had just lost mine!
