After my first week
28 Sep 2013, 10:15
So, okay even though I'm not entirely sure of my true starting weight, I'm 1lb down from when I weighed myself last night (this is after my first week of fasting), my old scales are showing a loss of 4lb so I have lost SOME I just don't know the accurate figure :victory:
I have also lost 2 inches off my waist, 1.5 inches off my hips and 1 inch off each thigh! So, all in all I'm a very happy bunny. Hopefully this keeps up and I'll see more of a movement on my scales from now on.

Love and peace

Well done dreamer, I,m sure you've lost more like 4lbs, even if you count it as a lb, it's still a loss, so that's great. Good luck for next week and well done on the inches lost.
Dee :)

Isn't it great?!
If you still have some way to go, I would recommend that you take lots of other body measurements too, as there are times when the scales don't move, but you can see a difference on the measuring tape. I wish I'd done this!

Well done daydreamer
I'm sure you've got the bigger loss because the tape measure never lies
from now on weigh on your new scales and stay a little dubious Lol
But completely trust the tape and more importantly your clothes.
Brilliant start and that's the motivation to carry you into next week.
Good Luck. :clover: Sue. :clover:

Well, so far I've only been measuring hips, waist, thighs and neck- those are the places I hold most my weight and I want to see if they start shrinking. I have a LONG way to go yet but I'm so happy right now! Thank you guys for the good wishes

Hi daydreamer. I read your blog. Don't bother telling your mother. I made that mistake once and she thought I would die not eating many calories for twice a week. Stick with us and we will cheer you on. I think you are the perfect candidate to use and share your progress tracker. Measure and measure everywhere you can too as this will motivate you more than the scale. Have your blood pressure checked once a month too as from experience, you will benefit. Congratulations on your progress so far :victory: :victory:

Thanks Sue!!! You're right, I'm going to start learning to take my weight with a pinch of salt and just look at the measurements, like you said, they don't lie! I can't wait to lose more and have a major shopping spree! I've also set myself a small goal. if I lose 2 stone I'm going to chop all my hair off! My hair is quite long at the moment, but I figured with a new me should come a new hairstyle too. And I found one this morning, so I have great motivation to keep going with this WOL now!

Love and peace

Well, I told her and she wasn't best pleased but actually she's been pretty cool about it this week so far (I think because it's best of both worlds, I get to calorie restrict two days and the rest of the time she can feed me and she's happy lol) Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, it's the first time I've really opened up about my weight and it feels a bit like therapy to me to be able to write down all my thoughts and feelings. Thanks for the support, you guys are really amazing!!!! I'm so happy I have found a place like this. :victory: :victory: :victory:

Hi Daydreamer, I know what you mean - there's a strong temptation to weigh oneself a lot on this WOE! But, taking the measurements, a decent scale and just counting one weigh-in per week (because the weight fluctuates) will really help. Counting the weight the second day after the second fast works for me - the day right after the second fast is often a lb or so lower than my real weight.
Stick with it, it seems to work, and it's nowhere near as hard as constantly denying yourself.
Well done, too, btw! :clover:

Ahh daydreamer i read your blog..you are doing so great against all the odds thar life has thrown at you..
Your life hasnt been easy and as a young person,it is particularly difficult to struggle with weight probs ( bad enough when you get older, grrrr!) but you are taking control of your future now with a different and better way of eating
So glad yr mum has accepted what youre doing, and hope that continues
Be careful with portions etc on your feed days ..you might find your mum wants to give you big meals, but to continue to lose, you need to watch those non fast days..i am sure you "get" that, but i wonder if yr mum will
Am so delighted for you by your first weeks success! First of many to come!Woohoo! Hello to wearing nicer clothes in smaller sizes, and even more important, being healthy and feeling well and full of energy!
And you have a best friend in yr life now plus all yr new friends here..hey life is looking up! X

Thank you for reading my blog (sorry if I ramble too much lol) Thank you for your kind comments, it means a lot to me. Yeah, I'm working hard to change myself and undo so much damage that's been done. I don't think there's much chance of over-eating on my feed days, everything I make myself is low fat because I was doing calorie restriction before 5:2 anyway, and I found it hard to eat full meals this week anyway, so I have a feeling I'm actually under eating (I never thought I would say that!!)
I can't wait to be wearing smaller clothes, and shopping in normal shops not having to find stores that cater for "plus size" women. I really need to be full of energy in my job, so yeah I can't wait for that to kick in! Life is looking really good right now, and once my boyfriend and I are living together and we're both doing this everything will be amazing.
Thank you all so so much, I feel so accepted and welcomed here
 much love to you all
