Thank you for all your lovely responses. You guys are the best! I'm painting the interior of our house and I pop on here for a break and see what you wrote and it is exciting and feels like a little present. :present: ( only one more coat of very pale grey to go in the laundry this afternoon then the whole house is done!) :victory:
@wildmissus I hope your visit on Friday goes well and all your tests come back with good news.
@mariposa I just looked at your details- you and I are at similar stages of our journey. Yes it is wonderful to think by this next time next year we will be at a healthy weight. :victory:
@gillymaryIn regards to me having a maintenance break- it was sort of hubbies idea. Its holidays and we like to have wine at night. He suggested we we eat the usual food that we normally do on 2 or 3 'fast'days a week but then we can still sit on the verandah and look at the view with our wine and chat. No chips , cheese or dips those nights but salsa and vege crudites. We can have the chips etc on normal days. The hope is that we dont put on any weight in this time. I know its not ideal to drink everyday but it is holidays and we know ourselves pretty well- we dont want to feel deprived. So we dont feel deprived and by still sort of having fast days we arent getting out of the habit. We used this method when we went on holidays in April and it worked. We actually lost weight but we had just started 5:2.
At first i didnt want to stop losing weight for 5 whole weeks but my best friend said " who cares if you get to goal in october instead of August. Its your holidays-enjoy the time with your hubby" she was exactly right and thats what makes this WOL/WOE so sustainable! :like:
