Delighted or Disappointed?

Delighted again

Well, it may be a small thing, but I was actually tickled pink.

I have been working on rollovers in my Pilates practice for a couple of years - they're the ones where you lie on your back on the floor and flex the bottom of your spine so your legs & hips are over your body. I had been really struggling, trying various techniques to make it easier, and even then I found I had to really psych myself up for a huge hoik up, and even THEN the results weren't too great, I could only manage about 3 or 4 in a row. I probably haven't done them for a few months, certainly not since starting fasting.

So - yesterday! When my teacher said, "do some rollovers, jools" I just made my usual sourpuss face, but resolved to try some anyway. Well, OVER I went without even thinking about it - and again, about 6 in a row! I'm still hanging on to something heavy, but it's early days! I am absolutely thrilled that it was so easy!

It's so strange, generally day-to-day I don't really notice physically that my weight is a bit different to 3 months ago, and that my body actually behaves very differently when it moves, even during dance, but, goodness, I noticed it yesterday!!

That's great, isn't it wonderful to see the, however gradual, changes in our mind and bodies?

It is wonderful when your body surprises you @jools7. I was on the elliptic machine this morning, so humid like in a sauna and I was just chugging along, I cast my mind back to the early days when doing 2 minutes was my maximum. It is wonderful when our body gets with what we are wanting to achieve. Go you how fantastic

 Well done @jools7 Yes it's the small changes that we don't actually notice at first but when added to a second and third they do then become enormous great news you won't feel quite so "conspicuous" doing them on your
next class.
