I started 5:2 on July 11, 2013. I had been weighed at the Dr's office the day before .

I had another appt today and was weighed again July 29, 2013

So..... 19 days / 6 fasts later..

I am down 9 pounds

Pretty happy about it, and seems this is a sustainable way to eat. I know I won't always lose at that rate, but it's a good start and a good motivator.

Had a good fast day yesterday, and today I can EAT!
That's fantastic! Congratulations!!
Wow! What a brilliant start :) Well done to you.
Congratulations! What a great start :victory:
Thanks! Im pretty pleased. Just have to keep telling myself the loss WILL slow down, but if I can stay with it, even with the average of 1 pound a week, the whole point is staying WITH it., This whole idea is so different than anything I have ever done, Im hopeful it is just the thing I needed!

1 pound a week is 50 pounds or so for the year... if I can do that, while drinking my wine, and eating my ice cream, and dining out with friends, and have my 2 honest fast days a week, life could be good! :)
:like: well done dianehelen that's a brilliant start. :clover: Sue
Congrats Dianehelen. Don't forget to take some measurements as they can be very reassuring when the scale gets stubborn (very common around the 3rd week mark).
That's awesome, dianehelen. I agree about measuring-- it can be reassuring when/if the scales stop moving and, importantly, height to waist ratio is a better indicator of health than BMI
That's brilliant! :star: What a great start! :victory: :victory: :victory:
bet your doctor was impressed! keep up the great work :)
Thanks every one. I am really encouraged :-)

Boy, it feels so good to eat after the fast day, everything is just soooo good hehe
