Two and a half stone off today! Started January and averaged 1.2lbs a week which is fine by me. When I wear trousers that used to be tight and see how much leg room I have now it amazes me I got so large and that I managed to ignore it for the most part. I was resigned to be in the obese category for the rest of my life and now I'm a couple of lbs away from being overweight instead. When I started I had seen the doctor about something else and he'd pulled out a weight chart and told me I had five stone to lose to get to a healthy weight, so now I'm halfway to that goal.
It's seemed a long time, but has also passed so fast and all those lbs that have come off seemingly so slowly now add up to quite a weight. I couldn't be happier and a big thank you to everyone on this forum that has supported me and helped keep me on track. No intentions to ever stop fasting as clearly it works for me and hopefully I get some extra health benefits from fasting too!
For all newbies reading this with a long journey ahead, get through the first month and then once your adjusted and happily fasting try and apply some of the things you have learnt to the rest of your eating habits, I've found an extra half fast in the week helps compensate for over eating days and eating a later breakfast helps keep hunger at bay until lunchtime. Don't be disheartened by the scales flying up and down and staying the same. My daily weighing using a trending app has really helped me stay positive when I've not felt like I'm getting anywhere. This is no quick fix diet, but a long term lifestyle.
Good luck everyone and I'll be posting at 3 stone loss for another mini celebration! :0)
