Delighted or Disappointed?

Yesterday and today I reached my lowest weight for years after weeks of ups and downs. I am so pleased that I want it to continue. I did say earlier this week that I would cut out all wine, chocolate, bread, past, rice and potatoes completely even though I only have them at weekends anyway. Well, I'm afraid it was all pie in the sky. Fridays is my end of a long week evening and I'm afraid the wine has just been uncorked and after dinner there may be a chocolate bar. I just am not ready for this step. I am having a small portion of curry with a huge salad and a spoonful of rice. I will also have a teeny bit of naan bread. I am so good all week, I NEED this :like:

Please forgive me and cross everything that it doesn't have a bad effect on the scales. Thanks
Congratulations Wendy - way to go :like: :victory:

of course you need the curry and wine and choc bar after a long week and if you can keep to smaller portions you can enjoy them all. Anyway a sure way to fail is to be too strict so enjoy
Oh and everything crossed for you. For me too as I'm maintaining but just had fish chips peas and sweet corn with a, thickly, buttered roll! At least it was home made so not full of grease and it was tasty
Vendydaarrrleeennk (imagine Zsa Zsa Gabor saying it   ) a LOT of what you fancy does you good ! (but only once a week, daaarleenk!)

Seriously you have got to your lowest weight for years WAY TO GO GIRRLL!!
    :victory:

You are just about 4 weeks ahead of me - also a slow loser - I hope I will have lost what you have lost when I get to 21 weeks :like: :clover: :like:
Please tell me, what is a red carb?

I was already not tooo sure what carbs are (pasta, bread, rice pastry????? i.e. wheat products??) but RED carbs
Thank you ladies. Annie, that fish & chips sounds good. Oh silverdarling, I've been up and down since I got back from holidays. I was so pleased to see the numbers yesterday and today. I weighed in on the tracker on Tuesday when I was at my heaviest. I have actually lost more than the stats say and then had a bad week which pushed the stats down. I am hoping to make them look better this coming Tuesday. I have enjoyed all my goodies tonight and will go to bed soon so that I'm not tempted with anything else. Isn't it frustrating to be so good and yet be a slow loser? I think it's all to do with having a lowish bmi.

Red carb is red wine
Is wine a carb? Does that involve all alcoholic drinks? If so, then forget about me not being addicted to carbs... I so bloody am!!! :-)
Wine is made from fruit - so it's one of your five a day.

Sometimes it can even be 5 of your 5 a day!! :booze: :drink:
I don't know TML, I don't really understand carbs apart from the obvious white ones. I know red wine is one because of the sugar I suppose, I read it somewhere on the forum. I think the carb posts have gone way over my head, it would be good if someone could explain the basics because I am sure that's where my problems lie. I can't even look at a piece of T shhhhhh without putting on weight. Carb sensitive is the correct term I believe.

Ooohhh 5 glasses? Ok, I'll stay up a bit longer then :like:

Oh, go on then. Don't mind if I do.
Wendy Darling,

Enjoy all your treats tonight, you have worked hard for them and damn it, "you're worth it!" Well done for getting down to your lowest weight in years but I have to say that the 'pie in the sky' sounds yummy, is it sweet or savoury? :starving: I don't mind either, ohhhh, pastry, almost as bad as TOAST!!!!!!

Ballerina x
