No change to the scale
12 Oct 2013, 13:08
Today is my usual weigh in day and I was a little surprised to see the scales hadn't moved. I wasn't at all disappointed as I at least hadn't GAINED any. However I just took my measurements to see if there was any change there and I have lost another inch off my waist and hips and half an inch off my thighs :victory: so now I see you guys are totally right- take the scales weight with a pinch of salt, the tape measure is where the truth is at!!!

All you have to do is look at my progress. It's been a long hard slog. But we need to figure out what's right and wrong for us. I've had to cut my carbs, and started logging my feast days cals too. I do have a massive TDEE 2.3k and thought that there was no way I could go over it. Weill I'm logging this week to see how I go. Saying that, when I have to log what I eat I seem to be more mindful of snacking.

i lost inches way before I actually lost any weight at the start ... And that is not unusual on here. And it is the inches that are more important. You may find that you carry on losing inches for a while yet, before the weight starts to drop. Just keep on what you are doing for a few weeks more, and then you will be able to make a much more informed choice about what if any 'tweaks' to make ...

I'm honestly more happy with the inch loss than I am with the weight loss. I threw a Gap sweatshirt on today and a few weeks ago it was a little tight around my hips now it's hanging slightly looser. So yeah even though the scales read the same (and I think it's because I have an impending visit from Mother Nature) I'm really happy still :)

Hiya Dreamer. Same for me this week hun, well almost. I gained half a lb but lost inches everywhere. I know why (water from exercise) but something in my head keeps trying to tell me I should have lost lbs, I'm just ignoring it and carrying on the same. I'm not going to start counting cals or anything yet, If I didn't lose for a month and also lost no inches, only then will I think about the non-fast days. I'm trying not to obsess about it all. I'm feeling great and looking better already. Isn't it great wearing clothes that were too tight not long ago. :)
Well done on your inch loss. You're doing great.
Dee :)
