I did 10 days all inclusive, got back last Monday and had put on 5lbs - 2 days fasting and 16:8 the week days with calorie counting, and ate normally for a weekend (!) and lost that 5lbs no problem! It feels rotten when you see that number up but we have the best way to take it off!

Have looked at the possibility of cruising , several times over the past few years . It does appeal, but the thought of all that lovely food (prepaid , of course ) makes me hold back . . . . I know I just couldn't resist after a couple ( or 3 ) glasses of nice wine !
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in June this year ; wanted to do "something special" which didn't involve flying , so we self-catered our way from Amsterdam to Avignon over 5 weeks ( went by car ) ; had some lovely restaurant meals , but appreciated being able to eat light meals too - no , didn't adhere to 5:2 ( get a life , we were on holiday !!) .
Just back from a week in Northern Spain - lovely wee family-run hotel which did B&B only - so lots of tapas-type meals washed down with minimal (ok, copious!) quantities of Rioja.
Haven't dared step on the scales, but back on 5:2 this week . . . that's the point , isn't it ? Love this WoE , flexibility is the key. Mondays and Thursdays are our Diet Days ( OH has lost over a stone since Easter too ; moans about it but loves the fact his trousers / shirts / T shirts no longer creak at the seams !)
Good luck to all 5:2 rs - it's wonderful and I'll happily adhere to this WoE for a long time to come.

I've been back a week now and done 2 fasts, and 1lb is off. I'll be honest, I was hoping for a couple of lbs, but nevermind. I remain undeterred. Lots of healthy eating Chez Imcountingufoz.
Non, je ne regrette rien!
