The other week I was asked to review a 6 day cruise around the Med, so of course I said yes. Because, a free cruise? With one of my favourite blogging friends? Yes please!
There was a little note in the cabins saying the average weight gain is between 7 and 14lbs. I was 9st11 when I boarded that ship, and I knew I'd likely gain a bit, so I hammered it out at the onboard gym every day that we were at sea and had a sauna and stayed active.
I put on 8lbs! in a week! Eight whole pounds! Gutted!
I did drink a lot of wine, and eat a fair bit of food, and the aircon made me SO thirsty that I think a lot of it will be water weight. But I have to say, I was shocked at that outcome. So needless to say I am hardcore back on 5:2, and have signed up for another exercise class to help shift it.
So let that be a lesson for you. Cruises = not good for weightloss!
