Pleased with myself.
14 Nov 2013, 20:13
Good morning everybody

I am pleased to say I had a successful fast day yesterday after struggling somewhat previously earlier in the week.

You see I am a comfort eater, and on Monday I was battling with some family issues, and I allowed it to take control over me, and ruin my fast day.

I am back on track, dealing with the issues, and am thrilled I was able to fast really well yesterday.

Coffee, tea and lots of water, and some sushi for the evening meal last night, I feel great this morning.

Thanks for your support everybody its great to be on board this WOE.

cheers Maggie.

That's wonderful Maggie! You should feel very proud of yourself for being able to re-exert control both over your eating but even better over being able to deal with family issues :)

As you say, don't you feel just great after a successful fast? That is one of the many things this WOE offers. I and I assume many others are or have been comfort eaters, so can totally sympathize with turning to food in times of stress, even when we have been doing 5:2 or its variants for some while.

(I am also an 'opportunistic' (?) eater, and after 2 days at a conference with lots of yummy food, including the less healthy cakes, slices, donuts, pastries, which I chose not to resist..., am looking forward to, and needing, my fast day today!!!).

Best wishes as you continue on your journey :)

Well done, Maggiee, there is comfort in being in control of ones eating for a day! It makes me feel successful. \

Also, I don't know if anyone else has noticed but i had my height wrong. I went to the nurse practitioner this week and she measured me at 3 cm higher than I had entered in the forum stats. Now Moogie has fixed it for me, and along with a lowest weight today, my BMI has gone down from 28 point something to 26 point something (point 9 acually - but still) and I am almost in the healthy weight range!
