So happy!!
04 Feb 2014, 07:53
Yesterday in work EVERY SINGLE PERSON I ran into complimented me and told me how slim I look!! One woman even said to me "Every time I see you now, I'm calling you slim" haha. I love when people are noticing my weight for it making me look better. I've even been told my posture and how I carry myself is better now too. If I ever needed a reason keep fasting, that was surely it yesterday. I feel so good right now, despite what's going on at home. That was just the boost I needed!!!! :like: :victory:

That's great DD! So pleased that this has come along at the right time for you. Use it when you get angst or flak coming your way at home. I'm sure it will help. Also let the people who compliment you know how much it means to you - then they will probably keep complimenting you more, as you lose more weight! :clover:  :victory:

It definitely did come at just the right time @Silverdarling having people say NICE things to me about weight loss rather than negative makes a HUGE difference. And you're right, I do need to show more appreciation for the compliments I get, I usually just brush them aside as I'm not used to them lol.

That's great DD. I too find it a bit weird getting compliments. I can dish them out though.

That's wonderful

I used to be bad at receiving compliments, and then I read an article that said that the only response needed was a smile and 'thank you' - it works!

How wonderful for you, and if anyone needed a psychological boost then it was you and yes, accepting compliments graciously makes the giver feel good as well, a true win, win, situation all round.

That's so good dreamer. Enjoy it. When i did assertiveness training, manybpeoplenhad trouble with accepting compliments. We tried to reframe compliments as presents. You wouldn't usually brush off a gift! Smile and accept graciously :) ;)

That's a fabulous boost for you after the negativity you get elsewhere. Enjoy and embrace the compliments and knowledge that you're doing something you want to do for yourself.........no-one can take away that sense of empowerment.
