Wow, now I'm a believer!
26 Mar 2013, 20:55
I just weighed myself today after just a week of 4:3 and I've lost 5 pounds already which is crazy!

It seems like a lot so I'm not expecting to lose that much every week but I sure am chuffed! I'll definitely be sticking to the 4:3 diet now I've seen some hard evidence!

Plus I don't feel deprived or like I'm on a diet at all - it's great!

Anyone else doing 4:3 and seeing results?

Great news! well done you.

I'm doing 4:3 and I've lost 35 pounds since starting end of September 2012. I do have quite a bit to lose but I'm still really pleased with the loss.
I found that I lost quite a bit at the start and then it slowed down - I think I was overeating on the normal days.

Just recently I've been losing a little more quickly as I've been a bit more careful on the normal days.
I feel better for following this way of eating so I am hoping I can stick to it long term.
Hope you find it works well for you!

Thank you!

Thats great, its good how you've stuck to it for so long and done so well! Yes I find with weight loss in general it always tends to come off quicker at the start, I'm going to be careful not to over do it on my eating days too - I've already noticed I'm being more aware of what I'm eating without realising it which has helped.

Yes, that is a bonus. Some people have said that they stop over eating quite quickly but it took me a while to learn!
Glad it is working for you.

I'm doing 4:3 and have lost 18lbs in 6 weeks. I have a lot to lose but I'm really pleased to get this boost early on.

Well done! That's a great start and a good motivator. Just don't be surprised or discouraged if the next couple of weeks you find weight loss slower as I did - often you lost a lot of water when you start the diet.
Good luck!

Hi raspberryrabbits, I have to agree - I think it is probably a record for someone with your BMI. I actually hope it slows down or you will fade away completely before you've even noticed!

If you continue to lose rapidly then you might want to switch to 5:2 just to prolong the fun of fasting! Don't be tempted to overshoot your target...

Hi- I agree that you shouldn't get discouraged if your weight bounces around- I lost 2 kg in week 1, then got back up by 1 kg then lost 1kg and then gained 1 kg then lost 1/2 then gained 1/2- so if you follow all that you'll see over 3 weeks I have lost 1kg- but my tummy is smaller and I feel lighter and healthier- I had struggled to lose a kg over 6 months, so this is actually a MAJOR achievement for me! So I am sticking with it!
