("Non-scale victory" just in case someone else doesn't get the acronym like it took me awhile to figure out lol.)

I packed away all the pants I'd grown out of after I had my thyroid removal, determined to someday fit back in them & not have to buy new clothes again. This morning I took out a couple of my size 12 (American, not sure how that translates to UK sizes sorry!) and was able to get them on. They're snug, but still - they fit!
That's great! Good job. :)
Yay! I gave all my too small clothes to charity...good thing you had more faith that one day you would lose the weight! Well done!

I did that before when I lost weight, I'd given all my 'fat clothes' to charity, because you know I was just going to keep the weight off ;) Then the whole thyroid issue happened and I gained 20 pounds in a couple months, didn't have any clothes to fit so had to buy new ones again. That's when I decided I was keeping the smaller sizes, just in case someday I can lose the weight again!
Well done! It's great motivation being able to fit into smaller clothes again. Size 12 US is size 14 UK. It sounds much nicer being able to wear size 12!
Its a wonderful feeling isn't it? I have got back into the 'trousers of truth' so I dug out a dress from the back of the wardrobe that I had kept for about 30 years because I loved it. I'd only worn it a couple of times before I got pregnant and it hadn't fitted since. Now I can get into it for the first time since I bought it only to decide that I really don't like it anymore!
If I ever make it to size 14 I am going to have a little bonfire in the back garden and burn my black pants with the stretch waistband which have served me faithfully. I want to give them a special send off!! You must be so happy, well done :victory:
YAY!!! Congratulations!!!

I only give away the clothes that I don't like at all. The rest I keep because you just never know...

Oh well done nodakmom - and miffy49 - must be a great feeling :like:
Congratulations! Oh how I am hoping to get back into a 12. After 7 fasts my 16s that were uncomfortable are now a bit loose and I am excited about that! I am waiting another week to see if I can zip up my 14s that I have held on to (Also have a few 12s and 10s stored away).
