Delighted or Disappointed?

Weigh in morning this morning (19th May) and I am pleased to report that I have already lost 4 pounds of my 'holiday weight' and that's since Thursday, 16th May. So. that's the fluid retention dealt with, and now I have to deal with the longer term problem of the five pounds of extra fat that is still sitting around my middle!

My husband has lost seven and a half pounds in the same length of time and he now has five and a half pounds to lose to get back to his pre-holiday weight.

Thank you all for your comments. They have helped to keep us focussed this week, although the discovery of a box of birthday chocolates last night definitely didn't. Never mind at least they are gone now - eaten, not thrown away, of course!
In late 2011 we went on a 10 month travelling holiday around Asia. I managed to gain 18lbs in less than 2 weeks! I had to post all my clothes home and buy a complete new wardrobe. For some reason I stabilised after that but I've now lost the gain after 7 months back home. If only it came off as easily as it went on ...!
Too true, Mizztraveller! It seems sooo... unfair doesn't it? At least I could (just about) squeeze into my clothes, although I had to be selective about what I chose!
