Having been through my clothes drawers and chucked out all the too big stuff I found this morning that I "hadn't a thing to wear, darling" . So after having my hair cut, I called in at a charity shop (don't want to spend much on clothes as I'm planning to shrink quite a bit more ) on the off-chance and, wow! I squeezed into a pair of size 14 trousers (US 10???). OK, so of several pairs of size 14s they were the only ones I could squeeze into but hey, I call it a victory ! Anyway, that's not my point and the trousers were nothing special BUT there was also this pair of cute hot pink linen trousers (also size 14) which I could not quite do up, so....I bought them anyway!!! They are now my aspirational trousers and I'm really looking forward to when I can wear them.

well done on getting into a 14 Caroline, those hot pink ones will be fitting you soon too no doubt
I bought an inspirational item at the weekend also - a little black number ready for holiday in November hopefully

Hot pink linen trousers would require a summer's day which we seem unlikely to get in the near future, maybe you should book yourself a holiday somewhere with linen-trouser-appropriate weather. Perhaps Ballerina has got a spare room at her holiday place
I think clothes fitting is the most inspirational of all.
I'm loving trousers which have always been a bit on the tight side now fit very comfortably, and the ones that fitted me perfectly earlier this year, are starting to look like clown trousers!
For the first time EVER I feel confident enough to get rid of them.
I'm very happy for you, and am quite confident the pink ones will fit you very soon.
Isn't it great to feel so confident that we WILL get into a smaller size?
Congratulations. X

Fab, very well done.
I also use clothes both as a measure (and incentive). Have lots of old stuff I target in the bottom of my wardrobe.
I had a very mixed blessing this weekend. I had been targeting an old classic Hugo Boss suit that was barely worn and too expensive to ditch. Tried the trouser and yippee I could get it. Then I tried the jacket and as a result of doing loads of exercises (as part of my programme) my shoulders were way too big!
not complaining but seemed a little unfair!

Wow Caroline well done 14 can't remember when I was last that size and yes you'll be into the pink ones very soon, good idea charity shopping, I give them plenty & more to come ( I'm in the just altering stage) at the moment and not buying any thing at all, like most women various sizes in all wardrobes, thank-you Caroline for the inspiration Sue
Well done!! I'm loving being a 14 too! When I bought my size 14 jeans I ordered a size down too, as I like the style and they were in the sale.
I have been very unsuccessful in charity shop shopping unfortunately. Will keep trying though.
PS - I went to visit a Swedish friend in London at the weekend. I had fil with strawberries for breakfast. Thought of you!

Fantastic Caroline , what a great feeling!! Xxx
Great isn't it?
My last pair of inspirational trousers will now pull up and down without me having to unfasten them so I have moved over to an inspirational skirt that I saw in a sale and parked up ready for hitting the magic size 14.
Fished a dress I used to love from the back of the wardrobe and that fitted. Sadly it just doesn't look as good as I remembered! Well, it was 30yrs ago that I last wore it!

Love it when a plan comes together, well done you
I had a pair of rather smart trousers which I wanted to get to wear, they'd shrunk on the hangar after I bought them ages ago tried them on this last weekend, could get into them and fasten them, still a bit tight, but give it another week or two
Levelled off for the moment, not lost any weight for a couple of weeks, but changed shape and feel loads better, so waiting to see reactions (if any) from visitors at weekend

My first pair of aspirational trousers are lovely black cut-off ones (size 14) that I bought on a very rare clothes shopping spree 3 years ago.... Just before I found out I was pregnant XD They didn't get worn once and I've never fitted in them again....
Congrats on fitting into those! Must feel like suck a triumph!

Brilliant !
I wore my inspirational denim 3/4 lengths this weekend - I bought from a charity shop last summer, and they've been hanging in my wardrobe ever since with the label still in. I loved wearing them, as I'd imagined the moment ever since starting fasting, and looking forward to a slimmer summer.

Well done, I bet you'll be in the pink linen ones in no time!
And good idea to have aspirational trousers, now you mention it I know the perfect pair to motivate me!
