Bitter and sweet
13 Jun 2013, 21:38
Finally all the indicators have me back on track using 5:2+16:8. That's the sweet :)
On a vertical part of an unexpected walk yesterday i twisted my ankle badly. Iced overnight usual other treatments supportive bandage, pain relief and foot up it is feeling much better but am off for an X-ray today just to check everything is intact
Wish me luck today, am keen to keep up gym and walking my dog when my foot is healed :(

Good to hear you're on track (was there any doubt? Hope your ankle is better soon. Ginger tea cures everything...of course, it may depend on what you put in it!

Aw, sorry about that my dear. Please, please, please give it all the time it needs to heal. I know how we all hate to just lie down and do nothing but you will be thankful later if you don't push it now.

Good like with 5:18 and 6:2. No wait, that's not right... Must stop drinking wine. Will do, later.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, much appreciated
Framer I hit a slow patch think the fat burning was out of kilter but 5:2+16:8 seems my solution (once i got my head around it and trialled a week of it) More exercise was needed too - nothing radical but gym 3/7, daily walk with my dog and walk extra distances. I am loving all the movement which is now impossible. Yes TML I'll be a good girl :)
Also struggled with fierce headaches but think I have strategies for that now from forum members

Good advice TML13!

Hope you have a speedy recovery, Gillymary!

My poor same ankle has been # previously and took months to set properly so I am very very aware. Having had that experience though gives me confidence in our remarkable capacity to heal and is helping me not to feel too despondent now. But it is a nuisance.

Any tips appreciated but after X-ray it is back off my feet for me. Dear heart will be busy :)

Update re my ankle xray done and no apparent refracture so that is a relief, just have to put my feet up, one on ice. Might have to take a friends advice RACE: rest, alcohol, compression and elevation

My smart new suede ankle boots the radiologist wanted for herself and they made an excellent cast so I can put them on to support my foot when out. Have to hang up the joggers until swelling settles

Chuffed that my stall seems to have lifted. Kinda glad for 5:2+16:8 just now

Well, that's good there's no fracture. So here's hoping for a speedy recovery. RACE is very good advice! :D And well done for getting back on track. This is just a minor blip- all be it a painful one.

Relax and enjoy the feeling! Agree re alcohol - moderation is good (but think TML was referring to herself! But she can still talk sense even when half-cut, hee hee!)

Give yourself a rest and let people run around after you. Hope the dog doesn't get any fatter, know you won't! :victory: :clover:

Hi Gillymary,

Great news about NOT having a fracture so do take it easy and if you get too bored, get your mate Bill to come and watch telly with you again, hee hee
