Group Cheer and Celebration
14 Jun 2013, 12:02
I've just been looking at the progress tracker stats and I think there needs to be a bit of a celebration and group hug for all the support we've been giving each other on the forums. This WOE works!

I've been filtering on those who have been on the diet for more than three months because it seems to me that once you've got to that stage you are definitely sticking with 5:2

It's great seeing the improvements we've all made.

For those who started out in the obese category, over half are no longer obese! That's fantastic news for everyone's health! I'm in that category and although I'm not out of the obese category yet, I know I will be and the motivation for this WOE is just brilliant! I love seeing those pie charts change colour.

So a big group cheer for everyone! :victory: :victory: :victory:

And for those who haven't put any stats in yet, please do so we get a more complete picture.

It does work doesn't it. I haven't missed or messed up a fast day since I started in February. Couldn't say that about any other diet. Big hugs and cheers to everyone.

Exactly Wineoclock I have managed eating this way better than any other diet. I've lost more weight this way too, usually I lose interest!

Hear hear! Love sharing good news! I have just clocked up 13 weeks on 5:2 and have gone from a BMI of 32.79 to 27.97 and can't express how chuffed I am. I love the friendliness and support on this board!

That's fantastic, I'm averaging 1.62 lbs per week at the moment which is slower than I've been used to on 'diets' but definitely more consistent and not feeling deprived (apart from at 8pm on a fast day!)

Weigh in day again tomorrow so I'm hoping to keep up the trend, hopefully I'll soon be one of those who is no longer in the obese category xxx

It's great isn't it? The figures are similar for the overweight category too, half have moved into the healthy category and for them many have also now got healthy waist sizes too!
I bet all our furniture is breathing a sigh of relief when we sit down on it

Yes, I agree it works!
I remember reading ( in the gossip mags at the hairdresser- a truly legitimate source!) that the average time for a woman to stay on a diet was 6 weeks.
So many of us have far outlasted this time period, and this sustainability is what makes 5:2 such a fabulous WOE.
