Just the motivation I needed!

After a plateaux of many weeks I have finally started to lose some weight again! I know I haven't been as strict with myself and that was the reason for the plateaux but I had become a bit disheartened as even when I had a really strict week, I didn't lose anyway! I've not been on here either and browsing the boards again has really helped.

I even had a 'where've you gone to?' email from Dominic

So just 3lbs to go to target now then onto maintenance. Summer hols will be a challenge with the kids though as I find it really hard to fast at home. So I've got 3 weeks to get 3lbs off then I can fast 1 day a week through the summer.

Very happy bunny this morning!
Brilliant - stick with it and I'm sure you'll be great!
:like: Well done you, glad your body has woke up again, hope the last little bit isn't far behind but at least you know what works best for you.
Good luck :clover: Sue
Congratulations and good luck for the final 3lbs. Sometimes relaxing and not worryinfg about losing weight works wonders! Nice to see you back here too.
Thank you for your replies! Much appreciated! You must be very petite now Franglaise a BMI I could only dream of! Well done!
Welcome back, Claire007 - and with only three pounds to go to your target! If you find fasting difficult when the children are on school holidays, might it be a good idea to stick to a maintenance plan - even if you haven't reached your target by then? In that way you would consolidate the weight you have lost, remove the pressure to try to fast when surrounded by children trying to eat you out of house and home and set yourself up for the final push when they return to school.

There is lots of advice in the maintenance section of the forum and it might be the way forward for you, as a temporary measure. After all, your target has been set by you, so you can change it to whatever you want it to be at the start of the holidays, then revue it when September comes around.

Meanwhile, I hope the next three weeks are successful for you and you achieve the results you would like. :clover:

At 5'8" I will never be petite!
Maybe 16:8 would be easier in the holidays with the kids? There are lots of combinations to try and now you know you can lose weight with 5:2 even if the odd pound does creep on you will lose it easily. Good luck x
Thanks it will be a pleasure to be in a position to peruse the maintenance boards! How things have moved on for so many people! It's good to be back!

It will be great to see you there. The maintenance boards are rather quiet - not sure if it is because there are still a lot of people waiting to reach target or once they do they either don't need support on maintenance or just give up fasting completely :?:
