Delighted or Disappointed?

I can gain 6lb through the day in water weight, which is why I never believe them in the afternoon or evening. I usually lose it all by the next morning. These last two weeks I haven't been losing the water, I can still see it in my ankles so haven't been worried by the 2lb weight increase.
That plus my sons weigh ins have shown a plateau for the last 3 to 4 weeks, yet 2 days ago he suddenly dropped 6lb. We surmise that he had actually been losing the weight but been putting on the same amount in water, until suddenly, his body acclimatised and let the water go.

Hold in there, I don't any of us suffering with a heatwave should panic until this weather breaks.

You could know for sure by putting some 10kg dumbbells on the scale, if they dont weigh 10kg you know they are acting up.
There is also a need at times to not restrict to kick along the downward trend in the scales I believe, I am talking about the weirdness that is in 5:2 where you have had a day or two where you wake up hungry and you think I am going to make this day one where I freely eat. I did this yesterday as I had 4 days of being on track with combo of 16:8 and 1x5:2. My body was saying eat and I thought ok I will. This morning the scales were unchanged and I am the same weight as yesterday morning.

I give this example Clairemarie as you have mentioned not binging for months and I am wondering if the odd day of what I call instinctive eating does our bodies good on this long haul journey we are on. As my weight loss is slow but steady I have to mix it up a bit I find. Just some food for thought for you
