Getting Sweaty! Exercise & Fitness

9 posts Page 1 of 1
:?: Wondered if I just pick your brains or if anyone could recommend a foldable exercise bike for home use? I do go to the gym and am reasonably fit but want to encourage hubby to spend less time watching sport on tv and actually take part in some physical activity himself!
We are both small and slim so no need for a heavyweight machine and would prefer one that can be easily stored when not in use.
I've been looking on Amazon at this one amongst others

Any comments on its suitability or other suggestions gratefully received!
I bought a Raleigh folding bike in the summer because I live in a flat with no room to store a bike - lovely bike and when the weather was better I was using it (I'm not a very confident cyclist because I fell off one once and broke my arm), trouble is I STILL don't know how to fold it up (incredibly there were no instructions with it and I couldn't find any on the internet either) so it's sitting there in the hallway taking up space! I think the manufacturers assume that everyone is bike savvy - and I'm not! Hope you do better :-)
 I had one many years ago @callyanna And the one your looking at looks a far sturdier model than mine but we never folded it away at all

@loversghost Why don't you email Raleigh and complain explaining you need precise instructions they're on the internet I've just checked.
I was hoping you got more answers to this, @Callyanna

I am contemplating getting this one: http://www.amazon.com/Exerpeutic-400XL- ... d_sbs_sg_2

I don't know the pros and cons of getting a recumbent versus normal exercise bike.

Did you get that one? Do you like it?

Just had a look on the UK Amazon site Tracie and this model doesn't seem to be available over here. Still haven't bought one myself but any other recommendations very welcome!
Not a folding one but very good value. Can't copy paste from tablet, but google argos exercise bike pro fitness magnetic bike now £79.99 as opposed to £89.99.
Lovely silent smooth action, comfy saddle and easy to read information.

This one Penny? It does have good reviews, will have a think about it but would really prefer one on we could fold away.
That's it. Doesn't have a big footprint.
any ideas on pros and cons of recumbent bike versus regular style?
