(I just KNOW CreakyPete will like this! lol)

I've finally got my bar code printed onto a plastic card (I have no printer) so I'm off to join the Telford lot at 9am in the morning for a 5km jaunt around their flat, but scenic town park. I'm hoping to improve on my PB time... shame the weather forecast is wet and windy, but never mind....

Was less than 6 months ago that I'd never run a step and struggled to keep going for 60 seconds. Now I've progressed to TEN kilometres!! TOTALLY addicted! Ha...
Ooooo well done, all the best for tomorrow :like:
Enjoy it if anything like Inverness they are a friendly bunch. I will be going too but only on week 7 of couch 2 5 k so only manage 2 miles. I don't like to make the volunteers hang around waiting for me. It will be a glorious day when I complete the 5k and hand over my bar code. I wish you well :like: :clover:
That's awesome! Good luck!
Well done. Hope all goes well.
What a FAB time, I had.... and what a lovely friendly bunch. Chuffed to pieces to have a relative final placing of 68th out of 209. I knocked 90 seconds off my previous PB so down to 30:59 now. Personal challenge now is to be able to run it in under 30 mins.
Let us know how you got on,on the "Are there any runners here thread" I hope you enjoyed it
There you were replying, to the question I was typing
well done Domane I couldn't find a medal for you. :victory. I managed 2.54 miles at 13.10 miles per min so I am quite happy. I will be starting week 8 of couch 25 k on Monday and hope to bump the Park runs up until I get to the 5K
